The game, in fact, despite having simple gameplay, manages to be confusing, and does nothing but sum up in a continuous button-mashing by the player, without any sense of satisfaction in the destruction of buildings and enemies.
The most disappointing thing for me, though, is what’s probably the least of Space Overlords' worries: it just doesn't feel right, on that primal level that action games generally tap into. Despite the title, playing the game made me feel small and weak – not just because of the mechanical hindrances, but because of the lack of any sort of feedback.
Some games are so bad they are good, some games though are just bad. Space Overlords is a litany of poor design choices, terrible story, bland levels and technical issues. As a way to frustrate and disappoint Space Overlords succeeds, but as a enjoyable slice of videogaming Space Overlords misses the mark on every level.
A game lacking both fun and enjoyment. It’s a buggy mess full of clipping issues, repetitive gameplay and ugly art design. Space Overlords is a poor game and one to avoid.
Since this one was offered with the PS PLUS service, I wanted to give this game a try - it was free, after all - but it wasn't even worth 0 dollars. There wasn't a single fun or enjoyable moment in the whole game. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME, even if for free.
The gameplay is not fun and lacks in depth or "game juice", as it is called.
It was badly coded, is overly complicated with absolutely no reason, both in its "plot" and gameplay. Overall, it is painful to play, and is the first time I ever give a game a 0/10 - trust me, I'd have given it a -1 if I could.
Total Indie trash not worth playing at all. At least i didn't spend anything on this, because it was free with PS Plus. But everything about this game is really bad and boring.
