That said, better the developers create a bunch of really enjoyable levels with zero replayability than shoehorning in a three-star system at the expense of fun, right? Obviously, the ideal would be both, but if you're going to make it an either/or thing, then I suppose 10tons picked the right option to go with.

King Oddball is a fun albeit somewhat challenging puzzle game with a very smart concept. Too bad it can get a little too frustrating.

King Oddball Ends the World won’t dethrone the avian king of the flinging genre anytime soon, but it’s a surprisingly addictive and oddly compelling experience all the same. With a disappointing lack of variety to its stages overcome by rock solid core mechanics, you’ll be hard pressed to find a bite-sized game that offers much more enjoyment than this for the same money.

Although with certain aspects that should be improved –the lack of scoreboards, for example– it's a really addictive concept that manages to turn hours into minutes.

King Oddball is a fairly large package and, although it certainly is odd, it doesn’t do enough to be truly interesting, and despite a lot of levels and some decent physics, it’s not particularly captivating.

It isn’t a game with much substance, it isn’t one that will eat all your time, but it is a fun little time waster for when you have a spare five minutes.

At first you'll be having a lot of fun. After a while, though, the gameplay gets terribly repetitive and at times extremely challenging. Some gamers will undoubtedly love this, but most of them won't keep playing all the way to the credits.

King Oddball has a lot of levels on offer and its similarity to Angry Birds in terms of game play means it is a title which can be picked up and put down in order to pass a few minutes of time. However, it lacks the addictive nature, challenge, variety and charm of Angry Birds.

Angry Birds type game but done very well. Lots of content and looks really good. Not very difficult. Like Angry Birds required a bit of luck to get through the levels. It allows you to trigger a launch from a button if you don't want to do the touch screen. Full Review »
