    Little Deviants has great potential as a franchise with its range of incredibly fresh and entertaining mini-games, though we can't see players spending too much in their company in this first instalment.

    An entertaining minigame collection, and it never tries to be more than that. It's certainly a lot of fun when you are still experiencing that warm fuzzy feeling after unboxing the brand new Vita, but I'm pretty sure that six months down the road, we'll be remembering the more substantial Vita titles like Uncharted and WipEout 2048 instead.

    While a couple of the games are downright boring, and a few frustratingly difficult, most do definitely have an interesting X-factor about them; even if they're ultimately hamstrung by a lack of polish.

    Little Deviants utilizes the full potential of the PS Vita controls and it is also fun to maneuver the squeaky little guys through the levels. Unfortunately, no multiplayer, and it's most definitely just a collection of mini games.

    The developers did successfully use the innovative controls of the PS Vita but unfortunately sometimes less is more and this is the case with Little Deviants. The games itself are fun initially but unfortunately as you progress, things become to get harder and it becomes quite a frustrating experience. Now if only the game was more Pikman than Little Deviants, we would have probably have a winner on our hands but for the price, it's still a great way to showcase this console but just be warned... it comes at a cost to your gaming sanity!

    Little Deviants acts as a techincal demonstration of the many gadgets PSVITA has inside, but is a very entertaining game most of the time. It makes the most of all VITA capabilites, but is a bit limited in duration.

    A "showcase game" that was created in order to advertise PSVita's technology. With a right price tag and some truly funny and enjoyable mini-games it's a safe bet for a day-one purchase.

    Little Deviants is an easy game to like. It plays well, for the most part, looks nice and demonstrates what the Vita can do. It's just a shame that there's not more to it, and although the scope is there to replay beaten levels, I'm not entirely convinced you'd want to.

    It's not remarkably stylish or memorable - although it never looks less than charming as it sashays in rich cartoon fashion across the Vita's luxurious high-resolution screen - but it's a splendid ambassador for the console's many functions, and among its better mini-games has the potential to save you from a boring train journey every once in a while when more addictive smartphone games desert you.

    This party game might provide some addictive fun, using a lot of Vita features along the way. Not every minigame works as well as it should though and when you find out that there aren't that many different minigames in the first place, you'll realize that there are better ways to spend your hard-earned money.

    It provides a basic distraction. It offers an introduction to control methods that both might be unfamiliar to Vita users and might not even end up being used in future games. It does what it means to and it handles itself competently – you'll just be bored of it within a week.

    Little Deviants is a moderate showcase of PlayStation Vita's features, however such features are not always well implemented and lead to awkward moments of pure frustration. When minigames are good and well designed Little Deviants is a fun and enjoyable compilation, otherwise it often becomes dull and repetitive.

    It's a fun game for kids but may not have the same value for the adults and even being an acceptable title on the PlayStation Vita, it's necessary to take into account the age placed on the cover of the game.

    If you're looking for a game that will show you just about every in and out of the Vita's control experience, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more thorough showing than Little Deviants. Of course, if you're looking for a game that will keep you engaged for the duration and coming back for more, you might want to look elsewhere.

    The novelty of using the various Vita control schemes is a fun reason to play Little Deviants, but score chasing generates most of the game's lasting appeal. The Deviants themselves add little to the package; their generic brand of wackiness and the insipid looping soundtrack are easy to ignore and mute, respectively.

    Bottom line, Little Deviants is a good game. If anything it brings to mind numerous iPhone and iPad titles we've seen over the years. Thing is, none of those games cost $29.99 individually, and would probably not cost more than $6.99 in one package. As it stands, this game doesn't have what it takes to compete against Vita's better offerings, but if you give it a chance (and have the money to burn), it does the job.

    There's no better game to demonstrate the cool new ways to interact with the Vita, but Little Deviants's long-lasting appeal is minimal, relying on too few gameplay ideas over too long a period of time.

    It's a decent piece of (admittedly overpriced) software. And its pretty, vivid graphics and surprisingly catchy old-school inspired soundtrack certainly please aesthetically. But a strong hook doesn't exist.

    Little Deviants has become the Wii Play of the PlayStation Vita; quite boring, not challenging and just not that fun to play. The multiplayer however can be great at times. But that's all there's to it.

    Little Deviants has some ambition and creativity and it's often inarguably amusing. But the generic, bland nature of the goals in each game mode, the lackluster presentation, and the erratic and unreliable control hinder it big time. Worse, there's always a pervading sense that this is less a game and more of an incomplete production with only hardware features as the inspiration.

    Don't get me wrong, there is some fun to had with Little Deviants, however the $30-$40 price tag hurts this collection of mini games. If they were on an iOS device, I might pay a dollar for one or two of them.

    Little Deviants isn't much more than a technical presentation of the Vitas capabilities, and the quality of the minigames is uneven. Some are a real treat, whilst many others seem like a right chore, and there's little motivation to continue playing after the story has been completed.

    While it lasts an entertaining and fairly imaginative tech demo, but none of the mini-games will have you coming back for more.
  46. Between the travel sickness, the lurid colours and the nightmare-inducing soundtrack, one level is the playable equivalent of food poisoning. Another over-used puzzle has you rolling around collecting stars as time ticks away in a manner horribly reminiscent of a smartphone app that would cost around £17 less.

    I hope against hope that studios calm down and learn a little restraint when it comes to exploiting these features, as this collection of clumsy, discommodious distractions is indicative of what can happen when developers forget the elegance of simplicity. New features are only worth including if they enhance an experience. When they get in the way of it, they should be axed on the spot.

    Little Deviants' real problem is simple: it's not moreish, and its challenges fail to reveal the kinds of nuance on the second and third tries that will have you refining strategies and aiming to better scores. Without that incentive to return, you're unlikely to.

    In small doses, Little Deviants is an enjoyable experience and a great way to become familiar with the PS Vita's new tech. But beneath all that charm and googly-eyed cuteness, there isn't much to offer beyond the 30 minigames, with a chunk of them repeated on a various maps. It seems like Little Deviants would have been better suited as a tech demo, and should have come bundled with the system.

    At £19.99 Little Deviants might seem like a bargain, but on a platform that promises to deliver proper console gaming experiences (and does so decently at launch with a number of other titles), it feels like nothing more than a series of hit and miss tech demos.

    There's simply not enough good content here to recommend a purchase at $30. You'd be much better off putting that money toward Uncharted, Wipeout, Hot Shots Golf, or Super Stardust Delta. Buy with caution.

    Unfortunately, Little Deviants is a mini-game collection that shows you everything it's got in the first 30 minutes. You'll do the same handful of activities over and over again in specific-themed worlds for several hours on end until it all ends in a shoulder shrug.

    It's a shame that so much of Little Deviants is so difficult and (literally) painful to play. There's a handful of games in it that really work, and a further set of minigame concepts that could have been pulled off if they hadn't been bogged down in unnecessary control complications.

    It's difficult to work out exactly who Little Deviants is aimed at. The system is too flash and fragile for kids, but the games are too simple and irritatingly cutesy for adults. Further work on each of the games would improve this no end, as would a cast that packs a bigger punch.

    The largest issue is that the games simply aren't much fun. It's clear that players are expected to repeatedly play each game, hoping for a high score and the elusive gold rating, but I found myself intentionally failing after achieving a bronze, the minimum requirement for unlocking new games. "New games," might be a little generous, actually, considering many of them are simply new levels for game types you've already played.
