This game is an incredible piece of art, recommended for every gamer with no exception. A next-generation platforming game that will take your breath away.

I played the 360- and the PS3-version. And still the level design with its bright colours and crazy ideas managed to captivate me. This was and still is one of the best jump-and-runs in recent memory.
  3. Feb 23, 2012
If you already purchased Rayman Origins on your PS3, 360 or Wii you can safely skip this one. It really is just the home console game perfectly ported across to the PS Vita - so if you, like me, never got Rayman Origins the first time around, grab it now. It's the best platformer out today.
  4. Feb 27, 2012
The lack of multiplayer aside, there's still enough levels crammed in to keep you going for several hours, and many more if you're looking to collect everything.
  5. Mar 16, 2012
Even with Rayman Origins being a port from the consoles, it sets a high standard for platforming games on the Vita. I have strong feelings that it won't be beaten for some time on the handheld. Rayman Origins is simply a game studio's love and joy moulded into the conventions of platforming. It delivers precise controls, beautiful graphics, an ear pleasing soundtrack and simply some of the most exciting platforming since the older 2d Mario games. If you've not played Rayman Origins yet, you need to get on it because you're missing out on one heck of a videogame.
  6. Feb 14, 2012
It's a shame about the lack of multiplayer, but Rayman Origins is still 2D platforming at this console generation's finest. This is a huge, deep, challenging, artfully crafted masterpiece that is now portable, which opens the door for even more gamers to get lost in its goofy and delightful world.

A platforming experience for the ages; superb on console as well as Vita, you can't go wrong.

Rayman: Origins arrives at Vita offering everything that was offered on the home console version and boasts a visual quality that is simply delicious.
  9. Feb 23, 2012
Rayman Origins for PS Vita is just impressive as the Home Console Version: still one of the best platform of these last years.
  10. Mar 5, 2012
Rayman Origins is a literal clone of its award-winning console counterparts, and with it one of the best platformers to date, period.
  11. Feb 27, 2012
As the name might suggest, Rayman Origins takes us back to the roots of platform gaming, both in its simple 2D, side-scrolling presentation and its fundamental gameplay concepts of running and jumping; not unlike a certain Italian plumber we all know. What was one of the greatest console platform games of 2011 has just become the first great handheld game of 2012 and a must-buy launch title for anyone with a new PlayStation Vita.
  12. Mar 6, 2012
No matter what price you pay, you'll get one of the best platformers of the past half-decade, and the best game in the series as well.
  13. Feb 17, 2012
Ubisoft's platformer was one of the best games money could buy last year, and it's one of the best games you can play on your PlayStation Vita now.
  14. Feb 21, 2012
Rayman Origins for the PS Vita lightly uses touch controls, but eventually all this is not so important, as the game is so much enhanced by the OLED screen of the console. Rayman Origins Vita is identical to the sublime adventure experienced on home consoles, except that it doesn't feature any multiplayer mode, nor local or online. That's the real problem... but the game remains one of the biggest titles of recent years.
  15. Mar 12, 2012
While the Vita has had its fair share of console ports already in its short lifespan, none is as simple or fun to play as Rayman Origins.
  16. Mar 20, 2012
Even though it lacks the co-op mode of the home console versions, Origins on PSVita remains as beautiful and enjoyable as ever.

Every bit as good as the version for the home consoles. If you've yet to play this game, you're missing out on 60 levels of pure platforming bliss. Our only gripe is the lack of multiplayer, but if anything, that just made us appreciate the spectacular level design even more.

Up there with the best of Vita's launch line-up. [May 2012, p.101]
  19. Feb 14, 2012
It's the perfect type of game for a handheld, easily playable in short doses or long sessions, and it's a triumph of clever, captivating game design.
  20. Mar 2, 2012
It's one of the best platformers I've ever laid hands on, and it's a shame that I waited this long to play it. How this game didn't top more lists than it did as possible GOTY material in 2011 is beyond me, because it certainly deserves all the accolades it's received thus far (and more!). I don't toss out the A+ often (in fact, this is a first), but Origins totally fits the bill of what an A+ experience is all about.
  21. Feb 16, 2012
Now those very same visuals, and that very same campaign has been placed on a PlayStation Vita cart, and it's actually shocking how well it's fared in translation.
  22. Feb 13, 2012
Rayman Origins takes on a genre mastery of ground work laid down decades ago and elevates it to astronomical new standards. It's a spectacular living painting that's as much fun to play as it is to look at, and it's a total triumph.
  23. Mar 5, 2012
Rayman Origins is the best fun I've had on the PS Vita that has definitely set the arcade benchmark quite high for future arcade titles.
  24. Feb 25, 2012
A brilliant port of the home console game that arguably works better on the Vita's screen than it does on a TV. One of the best platforms in years.
  25. Feb 22, 2012
A faithful and perfect port, a beautiful journey again and anywhere. It sacrificed the multiplayer mode, but it is a delight in the OLED of Vita, very colorful and bright. The best game of the PSVita launch.
  26. Feb 14, 2012
Rayman Origins is one hot box of rocks. Arguably, it is PlayStation Vita's best launch game, a content and graphically rich experience that serves as a loyal handheld companion, perfectly suited for long or short play sessions. In other words, worth every penny of its $39.99 asking price.
  27. Feb 21, 2012
    Quotation forthcoming.
  28. Mar 5, 2012
A great experience. Those who have had the joy of playing it on the PS3 or XBOX360 won't find anything new here, but for everyone else, this is one fantastic little portable title.

Rayman Origins provides a picture perfect port of the console version and shows off the under-the-hood power of the PlayStation Vita.
  30. Looks stunning, losing none of the visual splendor infused in its PS3 counterpart. [Apr 2012, p.59]
  31. Feb 24, 2012
It's a pity that simultaneous multiplayer didn't make it into the Vita version of Rayman Origins, but that doesn't stop it from being an unforgettable platformer from the mind of Michel Ancel.
  32. Mar 12, 2012
This is what Mario on a Sony platform would feel likeā€¦ without the groovy moustache (and limbs for that matter). It's a shame Ubisoft did not include the co-op though and why implement touch options when it's more practical to use the traditional control scheme?
  33. Feb 20, 2012
It looks absolutely incredible on the Vita, the environment is endlessly immersive and imaginative, the overall creativity is impressive, and the controls rarely let you down.
  34. Mar 2, 2012
As amazing as Rayman Origins was on the home consoles, it's every bit as impressive on Vita.
  35. Feb 28, 2012
One of the best 2D platform ever to grace a portable console. Don't miss it, except you already own of the the home versions.
  36. Apr 2, 2012
Origin's charm makes it easy to forget that you're playing on a handheld and that is perhaps its greatest achievement.
  37. Mar 29, 2012
Rayman Origins embodies everything right and good about 2D platformers. If you want to be reminded why this genre took gaming by storm in the 80's and 90's, or you simply want to play a rare, honest to goodness video game, pick this one up ASAP.
  38. Mar 7, 2012
Although we don't understand why this PSVITA version has lost its multiplayer component, it is still a great platforming game and one of the best in the platform launch portfolio. Also, the game feels very good in a portable format, and is a very recommended buy for those who don't own the game on another platform.

Vita has one of its first killer apps here, and it belongs in everyone's library.

This is some serious talent. Hand drawn levels in HD? Rayman Origins takes us gamers back to our roots and reminds us that the old school 2D platformer hasn't died. The quality is unmatched, you don't see it very often in games these days, easily my second favorite 2011 game behind Dark Souls. It's a shame it didn't sell well, with this quality it should have outsold MW3. Bought this on ps3 AND vita. Love it Full Review »

The best aspect of this game is the multiplayer, which is IMMENSELY fun, but even though with the wireless technology of the Vita, a multiplayer feature would've been possible and efficient, the game has been rushed out for the Vita's release and cuts that feature. Sad. Play it on a home console. Full Review »
