It's all here in one craptastic package that's destined for the bargain bins. [July 2002, p.128]
  2. Game Informer

If you're not able to get your hands on a next-gen system, C-12 is probably the best thing to satiate your Playstation desires. [July 2002, p.89]
  3. Don't let the staggeringly dull, generic name fool you: C-12 has mood, challenge and even something of a personality, but with the dated gameplay and visuals, it just takes some time to see it...perhaps longer than many gamers will be willing to wait.
  4. 70
If a Playstation is all you have and three Syphon Filters just isn't enought, then C-12 is worthy of your attention. [August 2002, p.86]
  5. A strictly average action game that may interest the few players who haven't graduated to a newer system, but serious gamers will pass it over for something a little more modern.
  6. It's very fulfilling and a challenge. The graphics are very good, and the music sets a appropriate mood. If not for some camera issues and a bit of "unfair" attacks here and there, I'd rate it higher.
  7. If you've got a real "post-apocalyptic-fight-the-aliens-and-robots" itch to scratch, then you might get a kick out of this one. Anyone else will become bored far too quickly to bother.

It's just not that fun and the camera ruins much of what could be fun. I was repeatedly frustrated trying to kill lame enemies while looking at stale, last-generation graphics.
  9. Official U.S. Playstation Magazine

It's hard to call a game good when it features such shoddy controls and camera positioning. [July 2002, p.102]
  10. Play Magazine

A cyborg action-adventure bursting with great gameplay. [July 2002, p.82]
  11. PSM Magazine
    80
It stacks up well against the graphics of something like "Syphon Filter," which is what it ought to be compared to. [August 2002, p.20]
  12. It can be really fun when the wonky camera and the troublesome lock-on control don’t get in the way, but once the ride’s over there’s no incentive to go back (i.e. no multiplayer mode).

A great game with challenge after challenge. There needs to be a sequel.

It has wonderful atmosphere. The feel of despair gets you as you walk through ruins of Earth's cities. Honestly it is second only to the Terminator. You feel the same eternal darkness, the same despair of human resistance. Also the aliens were pretty unique. This game is very good, but it's shame it was underestimated big time. Needs a sequel or a remaster. Full Review »
