83Sort of like a woman I know is pretty, that other men drool over, but she simply doesn't pique my interest.
-
89The gameplay has an ultrarealistic feel to it, thanks to an accurate physics model that not only shows the car lean from the stress of a turn, but also totally lets you stay in control with tight responsive controls.
-
70Overly realistic controls are unforgiving, turning tiny slip-ups into disasters.
-
86This is not a "Gran Turismo 2" simulation-type of driving game, but it sure plays like one on TV (when hooked to a PSX of course).
-
80A step above the arcade driving of "Ridge Racer," and a little more serious than the "Need for Speed" series, but it still doesn't beat the granddaddy of great racing games ("Gran Turismo").
-
80Forget what you think you know about the oval-track monotony and unbreakable silliness of console racing games; Jarrett and Labonte obviously did before attaching their names to this wonderful, visceral racer, and we're all better off for it.
-
While Jarrett & Labonte is a solid title, it's not going to convert non-racing-game fanatics to the fold as "Gran Turismo" has done.
-
Without a doubt one of the best console racing games I have played in the past few years and deserves to mentioned in the same with the likes of "Gran Turismo," "Ridge Racer" and "Sega GT."
