  • Summary: Monster Rancher 2 can unleash hundreds of monsters from your common household CDs. That's right-you can actually use this game software to spawn unique monsters from any CD you own-music CDs, PC software CDs, or even other game CDs. EVERY CD YOU OWN CONTAINS A MONSTER that you can unleash into the world of the Monster Rancher 2, and then nurture and raise him (or her) to be the ultimate fighting machine. Expand

  1. It simply improves on the original's shortcomings and keeps what works. It may have been a conservative approach, but it's definitely a satisfying one.

A great game and anyone who enjoyed the first one should snap this one up as soon as possible. It's important to know that for those who do own the first game, your monsters are compatible and can be converted into this game too, a great technical gift from the folks at Temco.
  3. Anyone who liked the first will fall instantly in love with the second. Even if you've never heard of the series, I offer my highest, unconditional recommendation that you try MR2 out at your earliest convenience.
  4. I would have also liked the game to last longer. An, average monster's life span is three to four years. That can be played through in about one or two sittings.
