  • Summary: Power Spike Pro Beach Volleyball makes a good attempt, but its inconsistencies and shoddy control detract from the overall experience.

  1. It isn't necessarily a bad game, it’s not exactly the kind of game that’ll keep you riveted for hours on end, either.
  2. They have the right idea with the Virtua Tennis approach but failed to come even close with the graphics to match. Shoddy graphics ruin this game ultimately.
  3. 65
Normally, graphics follow gameplay in our list of priorities, but better animation, better character models, a decent frame rate, and well, a lot of other things, could have made this a more complete volleyball experience.
  4. A real waste of the attractive Gabrielle Reece license.
  5. Makes a good attempt, but its inconsistencies and shoddy control detract from the overall experience. It has the benefit of being instantly playable, but on the flip side, the game is also instantly forgettable.
  6. While it fits the sport very well, this is one sport meant for playing in the sun and not on a console.
  7. Credit should be given to Infogrames for even producing a volleyball game, but Power Spike's a bit like getting sand in your shorts -- not much fun at all.
