Without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most highly-polished and brag-worthy games that the PSP has.
  2. Liberation is a perfect example of just how powerful the PSP is, and a great way to experience console action in the palm of your hand.

It seems wherever Liberation can go the extra mile, it does. It delivers on all fronts, from a thoroughly engrossing single-player campaign to an addictive multiplayer component. Liberation also shames most other PSP offerings through its presentation.
  4. It's original, atmospheric and challenging, and sets things up nicely for the stunning PS3 game. Let the hype begin again.
  5. Visually Liberation is outstanding, keeping the rustic color palette and de-saturated look of the original perfectly while adding even more environmental details.
  6. The worst thing that can be said about Killzone: Liberation is that we want more of it. We would have liked a longer single-player experience and we would have liked online multiplayer, but the gameplay in the game is so well done that you would be doing yourself a disservice if you let that stop you from getting the game. Action games do not get much better on the PSP.
  7. A must-own title that is definitely worth playing. Everything is great, and I really cannot think of anything I would change about what could be this year's greatest hand-held game.
  8. After the over-hyped console version, the handheld port fortunately delivers with a perfect blend of solid controls and challenging levels.
  9. A perfectly targeted shooter that sines on handheld due to great controls and balanced gameplay. One of the best blasts on PSP. [Dec 2006, p.96]

One of the most pleasing things about Killzone Liberation that it seems to have been polished to the point you can almost see your face in it, it's impeccably balanced, looks amazing and is full of little gameplay touches and ideas that only come when a game has been developed by people who truly care about it.
  11. One of the best and most complete action games on the PSP. The decision to emphasize tactics pays off in spades thanks to an intuitive interface for controlling Captain Templar and the Tactical Command System, where you’ll get to occasionally command an AI teammate.
  12. One of the best examples of just how good a third-person shooter can be. The single-player mode may be a little short but it makes up for it with a multitude of modes including co-op and wireless multi-player. A definite must for any action fan with a PSP.
  13. A great game for the PSP and one of the few that make good use of online play. Although a bit stale here and there, Liberation is still a really fun game and a worthy time killer.

When my friend bought it for me on my b-day, i was ratha thinkin it wud be anotha average shoota 4 the psp where although the superb graphics and gameplay really were stunning, the incredibly short campaign and no online play let me down. Then when i heard dat there was a multiplaya patch out 4 this game and that there also was a new chapta added increasing the campaign length and finally letting us know where R****(Spoiler) was taken i gave the game a second look and also tried the online play. I wud have neva been thinkin dat it cud replace mgs po or socom ftb2 which i was regularly playin at dat time, but well it did. The most important reason y it did was dat this game was mainly relyin on communication between team mates in order for a team to win. I can remememba where it seemed like our team was winnin in a team death match and we were moving in a group of 4. We all saw an opponent running ova a bridge in front of us and just when we were abt 2 go onto the bridge i shouted stop into the microphone and every1 waited cus i was assuming dat the opponent was running away from us because he laid a mine on the bridge so i told my team mates 2 wait and slowly approached the bridge, then i saw the mine, and I quikly rolled away when the opponent detonated it. I saved my otha 3 team mates Full Review »
