AramisG.Oct 6, 20068Side scrollers are suppossed to be hard. Why should this one be an exception. It isn't that bad. The first time I played this game, I made it to the fifth level. Looks fantastic, not for anyone born after 1980.

AndyM.Sep 12, 20069Alongside Loco Roco, this ranks as one of the few true must-have games on the system. In a sea of PS2 emulations, this stands out a mile. It is hard to convey just how beautiful the game looks (and sounds) and while the gameplay punishes the careless, the save system minimises the frustration.

JordanH.Sep 6, 200610A true hard as hell masterpiece. Great music, awsome graphics and glorious old school gameplay. This game will bring the memories of hellish nights in front of your NES/SNES trying to beat those old past games. The good thing about this is. Beating these type of games really makes you feel special! Recomended for everyone that loves a good challenge!

Game play tends to become monotonous after a while, although the game itself is relatively short. Some required maneuvers were very difficult, which frustrated me.

80And so it is that the series's venerable blend of cut-throat peril and exemplary platform action is not only maintained, but arguably kicked up a notch with newfound levels of visual splendour, hellish level design and structural ingenuity. Though far from universal in its appeal, Ultimate Ghouls 'N Ghosts is quite simply a masterfully executed platform game.

58I want to fight against bad guys, not the control scheme. If tweaking was done with the horrible jump system, then this game would have been a solid recommendation.
