Sure, it’s another great instalment of Wipeout, but under the gloss it’s little more. [Dec 2007, p.90]

Everything you need from a WipEout title is there in abundance. [Dec 2007, p.106]

With great graphics, great sense of speed, a well balanced gameplay and a more than adequate soundtrack, can we say that Pulse is almost technically flawless? Probably, but only because “lack of innovation” isn’t considered to be a technical attribute. [Nov 2007]
  4. For some people and maybe even for you, WipeOut Pulse is worth the effort involved and then some.

I would give this game a 9.5 if there was the option (you can only choose whole numbers). The eliminator mode is totally fun and the grid I would give this game a 9.5 if there was the option (you can only choose whole numbers). The eliminator mode is totally fun and the grid single player campaign does an excellent job of mixing up the relatively linear style of the single player campaign in previous Wipeout games. I keep coming back to this game. Definitely a great game and a great value for your $. Full Review »

I've been playing it for hours and hours on PPSSPP and it's truly enjoyable. Races are amazing; the higher the vehicle class, the faster and the more exciting. Of course, take into account physics are obviously quite different to previous WipEout releases and you may crash lots of times onto walls for your first minutes of gameplay, but you'll get used to it in a couple of races. The only things I didn't like of this game are races can turn repetitive as you are finishing a series, and there's no weapon-missing race mode, except Time Attack mode (We all know this game is based on those arms, but, for example, blur has the Hardcore game mode, which hasn't any weaponry.).

And last, but not least, this game runs at pretty solid 60 frames per second, with the awesome graphics it has!
