  1. If you are curious about the card game and don’t mind the cartoon character interactions, then the excellent tutorial should provide a good explanation of the basics.
  2. Veterans of the series will enjoy the enhanced play modes and the new tag dueling. Fans of the Yu-Gi-Oh! television series and card game will be happy with this offering, which gives you room to grow and features galore.
  3. This is a game that could have been a great card game that challenged the experienced and gave an entry point for newcomers, but it just falls short.

The digital versions of a TCG are supposed to be the easy (and comparatively cheap) way to learn to play, but at this rate, Yu-Gi-Oh! won't be snaring any random passers-by anytime soon.
  5. It follows the 'bigger' and 'more' rules of a sequel, while neglecting the 'better' bit. [Jan 2008, p.80]
  6. There are lots of cards to play with in this game. That alone may be enough for some players, but if you're not really into this genre, you might be advised to leave this one to the professional time-wasters.
  7. Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2 is a complex game for the Yu-Gi-Oh! battles and an interesting way to go around and collect and trade the cards you need. But the storyline is pretty incidental to the game and how you play.
