Placing that final keystone to solidify my creation has always injected a dose of lightheartedness to the experience. If you like building in any capacity, or are looking for yet another top-notch multiplayer PSN game, Tricky Towers is for you.
If you’re a Plus member and you haven’t yet downloaded this fantastic party game, I highly recommend that you do so quickly. Even if you’re not a Plus member, this game is certainly worthwhile if you have some friends that fancy a solid physics-based puzzle game.
I wouldn't have found this game if it hadn't been included with PS Plus, but it's been some of the most fun my wife and I have had playing together. Really great game!
I'm really not sure I'd buy this game but it was included into PS+ free games. Tricky Towers is really good because I can play it with my gf and there are a very few games that we can play together. The game doesn't require some special sort of skill, like platformers or shooters so we can have fun together, thanks devs.
Tricky Towers is a lot better than other party games, especially with three others it is a curse fest (in a good way!). Playing alone is hardly any fun though.
A Puzzle game that will make you genuinely laugh if you play it with some friends on a couch or online. Some great ideas make Tricky Towers one of the good surprises of the genre.
Tricky Towers is a nice and fun game, which will give you a lot of fun, specifically at parties. With a couple of drinks involved, this game will be a hit. Considering it is one of this months PlayStation Plus games, there is no better time than the present to download it.
Tricky Towers is best described simply as Tetris with physics. Individual pieces fall from above as expected, but they are subject to gravity and physical pressure. Stack them wisely or else your tower might fall apart. The game provides three dynamic modes: Race, Puzzle and Survival.
(1) In race mode, the player to build the tallest tower wins. Sounds straight forward, right? Not so. Players can cast spells to fortify their own structure or sabotage an opponents. For this reason, it's sensible to construct a wide foundation to support your tower as it climbs higher, but if you spend too much time creating the perfect foundation, someone might cut corners and beat you to the top! (2) In puzzle mode, you must fit as many pieces as possible under a laser beam. Exceed the limit and your game ends. (2) Survival mode is trickiest of all. The rate at which the blocks fall will momentarily increase; some pieces will lock in position and others expand in size or descend haphazardly. For an extra challenge, there is wind and rain!
Set a personal best, play with friends or compete online. Honestly the most fun I have had playing Tetris since... the dawn of Tetris.
Puzzle game tanto semlice quanto intricato. La fisica realistica lo rende originale.
Singleplayer noioso, ma carino come passatempo breve con gli amici.
Nel complesso é un gioco semplice con meccaniche originali ma comunque molto semplicistiche.
voto 69/100.
Contrary to what the other "reviewer" says, this isn't shovelware but rather Tetris with a slight spin on it. This is a versus mode between two wizards trying to see who can build their tower the tallest using Tetris blocks within the time limit. You can slow each other down using magic, which sometimes the spell only helps your opponent if they know how to capitalize or if they built well. For example, a straight block is about to fall and you make the block massive to mess with the opponent. The added weight may take down the entire tower, which would help you, or it could help them if they are quick on their feet and know how to use it (assuming their tower can handle the block). When it comes to placing the blocks, you have to plan their placement as there are no walls. Incorrect placement can cause a block to form a ramp or roll off the side.
I personally had a bit of fun with it. Is it worth the full price? Likely not. Maybe for around $5 if you want a game on your PS4 that's just for a quick couple games. I had a smile on my face when I played a few rounds. But this obviously is not meant to be played for extended periods of time unless you're really into Tetris. Since it's free for August, 2016 if you have PS+ then I say definitely go ahead and download it. It has local multiplayer so you can play against your friends (turn it into a drinking game, maybe). It also has online multiplayer. I'll give it a 7/10 and I say it's at least worth downloading for free and playing a round or two to see if you enjoy it.
This game can be fun, but for a "physics based" puzzle game, it's not true to the laws of physics. The way balance works in this game does not turn out the way it would it real life. You can't really call it physics if it's some twisted, u realistic form of made up physics. This fact has made me so upset with this game, that I just deleted it from my system. Not only that, it is very poorly optimized for the ps4. The magic buttons do absolutely nothing. Not sure why they even exist and the "guide" lines that are used in the game are so light you can barely see them. This causes blocks to go in places they weren't intended to go. I tried out this game because I love games like this but I will never be playing this kne again. Highly disappointed with this piece of garbage game
SummaryTricky Towers is a multiplayer tower building game. Players must build a tower and be faster and better at it than their opponents. To spice things up, players use magic spells to support their structure or mess up the towers of their opponents.
