Wheel of Fortune is a flawed but basically solid family version of the long-running game show.

Like its Jeopardy counterpart, the animations are goofy and poorly made, but it's honestly kind of endearing. There are pretty pointless unlockables, but you're not playing this game to be a completionist. You're playing this game because you like watching Wheel of Fortune.

You should see this game the way you'd see a board game version of Wheel of Fortune. Play it with friends (or alone) because you like Wheel of Fortune, and you'll enjoy it.

Is a follow up to a version that previously existed on the Wii, which unfortunately was MUCH better than this version currently on the Wii U.

You can tell that they tried to improve the game graphically, but failed to do so successfully. It comes off as rushed and thrown together to be available for launch.

The interface with the gamepad is meaningless, there is no new functionality.
The gameplay is now MORE convoluted and confusing.
    Characters have less options.

If you enjoy Wheel of Fortune, pick up the prior version for the Wii. It will play on a Wii U just fine and will be much cheaper.
