  1. This is a fantastic title that not only all Wii owners, but every fan of the sport will find something to enjoy. This might be a strictly arcade affair, but once you accept that and just focus on trying to score as many goals as possible, you will find it difficult to put down.
  2. Virtually the same game as FIFA 10 but the new modes add heaps of longevity. [May 2010, p.66]
  3. This is the most fun I've had with a soccer title in quite a while, so 2010 FIFA World Cup is definitely worth checking out.
  4. 2010 FIFA World Cup is the confirmation of everything that was good in FIFA 10. The playability is great, the atmosphere authentic and players move smoother than ever.
  5. Slightly more than a re-skin of FIFA 10, but not quite enough to make this definitive. [May 2010, p.84]
  6. Electronic Arts has created a great soccer game, but for those who have already played a FIFA game for Wii, you probably won't find anything worth getting excited about.
  7. Great graphics, great gameplay style, but nothing really new that's worth the try if you're not a fan of the World Cup or if you want to use the South Africa championship to do something special with the arcade style that FIFA offers in its Wii version. It's a very interesting game lacking something useful for those who want to see a different game, or an evolved one.
  8. Even if the gameplay is quite enjoyable, the Wii Version of FIFA is evidently Family Oriented, and this will disappoint many gamers.
  9. FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 is a cute game for young Wii players, but for pros it is a nightmare. The missing tutorial, the gameplay problems and the missing road to the world cup are the reasons for this statement. Younger players will have a lot of fun shaking the controller and watching the funny animations.
  10. Setpieces are simplistic and the instant appeal of the arcade style wears off after a while, but there's still enough fun here – particularly in multiplayer – to make this a decent game for fans wanting to get involved in the tournament at home.
  11. FIFA World Cup 2010 is a good arcade soccer game. If you're looking for a deep simulation, try something else, but if you want to just finish a match with incredible scores and using fantastic tricks, this is your soccer game.
  12. This accessible arcade-style soccer game eschews realism in favor of fast-paced fun and features some great multiplayer options.
  13. It's a decent, arcade-ish, multiplayer-oriented soccer game, but it suffers from being far too similar to FIFA 10, which definitely needed some improvements.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa will appease younger gamers who just want to go kick the soccer ball, hear unrealistically loud noises when players take a shot and see lots of bright colors. Those looking for a realistic soccer game won’t find it here, but then again you shouldn’t expect to.
  15. It's not terribly different from the relatively recent FIFA 10. [May 2010, p.85]
  16. A good title… well, if you don’t own the previous one.
  17. An arcadish soccer game, sometimes funny. If you like your soccer played on the Wii, you'd still better stick with Pro Evolution Soccer, far deeper and more satisfying.
  18. Hugely disappointing for fans of the solid FIFA 10 on the Wii, we say stick to that or pick up a much more entertaining 360/PS3 version instead.
  19. Despite the many disappointments, undoubtedly the thing that disappointed me the most with FIFA World Cup 2010 is that it has no identity. It doesn’t know whether it’s a simulation or a simplistic arcade game.

The game is very arcade like. Tons of modes and game play variety make for great replay value. There however isn't much new to it that hasn't been in previous soccer games. Still, a nice enough game. Full Review »

Old school fun arcade soccer style with reasonably good gameplay and difficult. Zakumi's Dream Team and trophies can make you busy with this title. Not a must buy but check this if you are a football fan. Full Review »
