    Chrono Trigger exceeds at every level of gameplay: the graphics, the story, the characters, everything is downright flawless. Chrono Trigger just might be the greatest RPG ever conceived.… Expand

    Chrono Trigger is an excellent RPG that deserves to be named among the best of the genre. The plot is complex and layered, with the power to travel through time giving it scope and freedom. The combat system is fast paced and original and there is a clear emphasis on not bogging the player down in menu screens and items lists. This explains why characters are revived and statuses are cured after battle. This, along with new game+, is a breath of fresh air and helps the game stand out in a crowded genre. Characters are interesting both in terms of personality and in combat styles, with certain techniques only executable by certain members. Boss battles are suitably climactic and never fail to excite. The game does not make grinding a necessity (a feature which characterized many RPG's of the time) so the player can swiftly move through the story. The music is spectacular and, most importantly, fits the game perfectly. No RPG fan should miss this game.… Expand

    Truly one of the best games ever made, it is one of the best RPGs if not THE BEST ever made. The game broke many barriers and limitations that most other RPGs of its time had and paved way a road for future RPGs. One of the best storylines and a original cast of characters, amazing gameplay and beautiful visuals and music, this game will capture your heart if you are new to the series or to RPGs. RPG lovers will surely enjoy this timeless classic as the game has aged perfectly throughout the years, even to this day the game has been remade and re-enhanced several times as it has been released on the Playstation, Nintendo DS and recently the iOS. Regardless of what system you get it on, this game is and will be worth every single penny.… Expand
