  1. This game accomplishes the goal of bridging the gap between the challenging real-time strategy genre and the child gamer and does a great job appealing to that generation. However, for even the casual adult gamer, the repetitive nature of the levels and the minor frustrations brought on by the simplicity of design might lead to just a good rental experience.
  2. A decent game for all ages, Defendin’ de Penguin is something anyone can pick up and play. All in all, it’s certainly a fun and enjoyable title to lose a couple hours in.
  3. While I can’t recommend DFD to adults who’ve experienced more advanced RTS’s out there, if you’ve got a young gamer in your life and you’re looking to introduce them to the world outside of platformers and kart racers, Defendin’ De Penguin is a good way to go.
  4. Defendin DePenguin is definitely aimed at the younger crowd, and its audio-visual style may turn off older gamers and genre veterans.
