    This game is a masterpiece for its time. However, this is not a game for casual players. The difficulty will turn off casuals, but will more than satisfy hardcore gamers. The graphics look great (again, for its time) and Samus controls perfectly. Otherwise, a great game. Try and beat it without internet - it will be a lot more rewarding that way.… Expand

    Another one of the many watershed games in Nintendo's history, Metroid is a classic in every sense of the word. Fans of the series who never experienced the original NES platformer will find themselves lost in a world of secrets, danger and discovery. This is one of the few games that can still give me chills at times, and make me sweat as I rush through the frantic final stage. A great challenge and a lot of fun; a must-play on the Virtual Console if you don't already own another edition.… Expand
