  • Summary: [WiiWare] The Military is back for a new generation of recruits! The classic turn-based strategy series Military Madness: Nectaris is exploding onto WiiWare. With an all-new graphical barrage, an all-new commander unit, online team and vs. multiplayer, and a platoon of other new features, this is the maddest game in the series yet. [Hudson Soft] Expand

  1. Military Madness: Nectaris is a nice update to a classic strategy game. Players who've been waiting to see if this is a worthy replacement for the game currently available on the Virtual Console can rest assured that this is the case and the enhanced multiplayer options should provide an incentive to purchase for those who have it already.
  2. A solid strategy offering, but one that's not particularly accessible. [May 2010, p.90]

There is still fun to be had with Military Madness, but the almost 20-year old game definitely feels dated today.
  4. The single-player maps are competent and challenging, though lifeless and bland. Online multiplayer offers little promise, though local play pieces things together to give Nectaris at least moderate value for your 1000 Wii Points.
  5. It's inoffensive and there's plenty of it, but why does it have to be so dry? [May 2010, p.75]
