First off let me say that I have never played Prince of Persia on any other console, so I can't give any comparisons to that extent. I was looking for a game to fill the void after finishing Zelda and thought this game might do the trick. The controls were really easy to pick up and there is plenty of in game advice on how to manuever through new sections. I wasn't thrilled with the graphics, but they aren't horrible. All in all I have enjoyed this game so far and would recommend it. Expand

It's the same great game from late 2005, but it has certainly aged. The graphics, while solid, don't look feature that "new look", and though the controls are fun, it really doesn't add enough to justify a purchase unless your parents are the "No M games until your older" type. Buy the game if that's the reason, because you really missed out on a spectacular adventure.

Definitely time for Ubi to stop beating the dead horse.

Let's get this straight, POP Rival swords IS, the same game as Prince of Persia Two Thrones, the main difference is the implimentation of wii motion controls. The determining factor comes with whether or not you own Two thrones. Now, if you don't then dive right in as the game has worlds to offer you especially if you never played two thrones. Otherwise this port has nothing to offer. If you do feel like taking the dive however it is worthwhile and while some of the motion controls are gimicky, some of them are very gratifying such as swinging dark prince's chains to grapple across large gaps or latching your sword into a wall to catch yourself. Overall your enjoyment is directly related to your attachment to the series Expand

  1. If you haven't played "The Two Thrones", Rival Swords is definitely worth a look. [May 2007, p.84]

Rival Swords is the same game as "The Two Thrones" with added Wii controls that sometimes better the experience and sometimes worsen it, but if I had to choose, I'd take a traditional control setup to the new gesture system.
  3. Rival Swords is much the same game as "Two Thrones," which means it's still good, but it's nearly a year and a half late to the show.
