92Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 is the hardest and one of the best soccer games ever, only surpassed by the excellent Winning Eleven 10. Is a must-buy for all Wii owners who like soccer and if they're not used to the new control scheme, a Classic Controller is a great option.

It's another trophy-winning season for PES. More control and great game modes. [Apr 2009, p.60]

FC Konami deliver another excellent game of football. The additions and on-pitch improvements mean this is well worth forking out for. The lads done good.
-
90Pro Evolution Soccer 2009's visuals may not be in the same league as the versions released on the more powerful PS3 and Xbox 360, but it's hands down the better playing game.

If you are tired of recycled game play mechanics and just want to experience a downright fun soccer experience, Pro Evolution 2009 for Wii will deliver that and more.
-
Overall, PES 2009 is a better, more refined and complete experience than before. The classic controller option makes the game more accessible to the casual audience, but also shows that maybe Konami doesn't believe too much in the Wii-exclusive gameplay mechanics. Besides that, this is the best soccer you can play on Nintendo's amazingly successful console.

87Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 isn’t just an update of the previous version: a lot of gameplay implementation from PES 2008 make this game a new and unique soccer experience. It would’ve been better to get updated graphics too, still at PS2 level, anyway the game doesn’t suffer too much for that. A must have for any Wii-soccer fan.
