So even though there are a few Samurai Shodowns on the Virtual Console, this is still the most robust, cost-effective option.
  2. Those who have been longing to complete their Samurai Shodown collection and its cast of legendary characters should pick this one up.
  3. If you consider yourself to be a fighting game connoisseur, and you have like-minded friends that enjoy a good digital scrap, you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy of this.
  4. The sheer number of characters and fighting styles on offer mean you'll be practicing it for months to come. [Apr 2009, p.87]
  5. Most of the Shodowns hold up today, but the bare bones presentation is disappointing. [Apr 2009, p.59]

Great compilation. I gave it an 8 rating for 2 reasons: Some of the finishing moves were removed. I think they should have included the updated Samurai Spirits V Special and Samurai Spirits 64. Full Review »
