Feb 27, 201110Great fighting. Great Roster. Great story. Man, I have a PS3, but i would always go to my friend's house just to play this game, because it's fun as hell. Probably the best Wii game, but not nearly close to the best game ever. 10/10

Jan 23, 201110Absolutely amazing game! For those of you who didnt like it, its obvious they are probably not nintendo fans, so get off our console and keep your complaints to yourself. no point in spoiling this meta score with biased nonsense. must have for wii owners (who like wii)...

Nov 21, 20109I have to say Nintendo has improved this franchise by alot, in a good way. Smash bros has never been so addictiting and fun than ever before. I honestly loved this game, but there is one flaw that buyers should consider. After you beat this game you will be weeping for more after.

Nov 8, 201010Perfect. Classic. Timeless. Wonderful.
Undoubtably the best game I've played on a Wii console.
It's very fun playing the story mode and battling against opponents to test your skills out.
One good thing about this game is; you won't be bored; it can be played repeatedly. -
Oct 22, 201010This game is the best in the universe. Totally buy it. The graphics are amazing too, so buy it.

Oct 6, 201010With a wide array of 38 characters, a single player campaign, a four player offline multiplayer, a comprehensive online play mode, and dozens of other game modes, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is unrivaled in the amount of content and replay value it offers.

Sep 23, 20102The commercial and critical success of this game is proof that you could slap Mario's face on the cover of "DESTROY YOUR WII IN ONE EASY STEP" and it'd sell like gangbusters. This game is a slap in the face to truly fantastic multiplayer action titles without half the name recognition.

Sep 20, 201010Fun as hell. If you loved Melee, you will adore this game. For some it might feel like a massive expansion pack but you just can't miss this. Completely balanced characters, easy to pick up controls and countless goodies and entertainment at its disposal. Get it.

Aug 23, 20105Brawl to be me is just a crappy version of melee, i traded in brawl and i still have a crap load of fun playing the game cube classic. I give brawl a 5.8.
-
CodyTJan 21, 201010This game.........is absolutely incredible! It has a good 60-80 hours of play time just to unlock everything, and then hundreds more hours of sheer replay value. The characters are all balanced, and insane amount of stages add to the fun. Wow. Just wow.
-
-
joshlaJan 7, 20108This game utilizes NONE of the Wii's controls....no shaking, no pointing, no tilting, no nothing..WHY?

anonymousOct 31, 20099the only flaws are that stage editor sucked, classic mode is too predictable, there are only five target stages, online stinks, and there are no end of match bonuses. EVERYTHING else is good
-
-
MarkOct 27, 20099A truly great game. If you are playing w/ others it is a definite 10, but if you are by yourself, don't bother w/ this game. Subspace Emissiary takes about 10 hrs to beat and the online is worthless. Anybody who has somebody to play this w/ should already own this game
-
-
JordanGOct 12, 200910Best fighting game ever made? Yes. In my eyes Soul Calibur II is the only thing that comes close. The fast paced, hectic action is easy to play and when on multiplayer it plays like nothing else. Seriously, this and Halo 3 are the two best games to ever bring out at a party

ThomasZizzoSep 19, 200910I hated this game when I first played it, then I tried it again, and still didn't like it, but the more I played, the more tries I gave it I started learning more, and more, and now it's one of the most fun
games I've ever played, no, the most fun actually. Not to mention
it's stunning visuals. -

EmilyJJul 27, 20099Super Smash Bros. Brawl is one of the best games on the Wii of all time. The only reason this is a 9 and not a 10 is because it is somewhat repetitive. I have no idea why it is rated Teen, it should be rated E. Each character has original moves, but some characters are very similar such as Fox, Falco, and Wolf. A truly great game.

JoseCJun 25, 200910Sorry Ray A, but i need to say that you are an idiot, this is the best WII game released until now, you are an idiot if you dont know Marth, if you wanna know hwo Marth is, just get his Trophy in the game and you will get an Info, at least i know that you are the only guy in your school that thinks that the brawl sucks, it makes you sad and an emo kid and you blame brawl for that.

JamesWFeb 5, 200910It's not trying to reinvent the series, so don't expect that. What you should expect is the biggest homage to Nintendo ever, with great gameplay (single, co-op, multiplayer or online) to boot. Highly recommended.

MarshalH.Dec 28, 200810If you're looking for a game that says action, adventure, strategy, and even more action, this is going to be the best game yet. I f you have friends, no problem! you can have up to as much controlers as you can! I would recomand this to any that hates being bored on a rainy day. (or a sunny one).

StanleyWDec 25, 20086Fun until you realize that many characters are imbalanced. I've had the game for a year now, and there are ridiculous moves that cannot be countered. I hoped that they'd fix these, but there have been no changes to the game. The SSB series are dead, they are trying to add too many characters and there isn't enough balance.

-
HankHDec 1, 20089This is a very fun game if you have friends to play with. A lot like Melee, but w/ better graphics and more characters. If you are planning on playing by yourself, then you should not buy this game. The story mode, which is surprisingly fun only gives you about 10 hrs of game play. The online play is just awful. 11/10 w/ other people 7/10 by yourself This averages out to 9/10 overall.
-
-
JosephAhrensNov 28, 20088I like how there are more characters and places, and how many more weapons are included. I also like the smash ball and smash powers of every character in the game. The story mode can get frustrating, so, I take some time off from playing it for 5 hours. Overall, it is a pretty good game.

BasmentCrawlerNov 24, 20080Terrible game. Not even nearly as good as Melee. Everyone giving the high scores are casual smashers who have no idea about the depth of Melee and the slowness and simplicity of Brawl. Go to www.smashboards.com and find out what you're talking about before you post idiotic reviews.
-
-
JohnDNov 23, 200810"Spartian Gamer1342 gave it a5: This game sucks. Halo has better fps controls, better graphics, better online, a larger selection of guns." Now, anybody who gives this game a 6 or lower... they can relate to how stupid this guy is.

TjthegamerNov 12, 200810Brawl is clearly the best fighting game on the Wii even for years to come. Brawl offers infinate replayability with it's never ending trophey and sticker collection and online muiltiplayer modes. Add the much impressive Subspace emissionary, chaotic muiltiplayer, and level builder (which could use some work...), and you've got one great experiance for Wii not to be missed.

JermaulW.Oct 9, 200810This game has the everything that melee didn't. The only characters that i don't like are Jigglypuff, Sonic, and . I love everybody else. It also helps that I'm really good at it. I tested it out on online (friend got to it) and is was tested out as a level 26. THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!

SqueM.Aug 28, 200810This game is surely the best of the series though it has it's problems (like long loading times, online etc.) but even that doesn't make it one of the best fighting games in existence. Super Smash Bros. Brawl rocks and will be recommended to Nintendo and fighting fans and maybe everyone even.

feldeghastJul 25, 20082I hated it. Button mashing at its worst. Mortal Kombat 1 on the SNES was more fun. A to hit, C to Jump and nothing else. Characters were too small to see and the pace was too fast. I finished it on my first try and half the time couldn't understand how i was winning. I'm so glad i only rented it from the video store.

RuncanD.Jul 13, 20084I honestly don't get it... The controls are really sluggish, it almost never connects online, the poor story mode is needlessly frustrating because of poor controls and sparse save points. Perhaps it's a fun party game, but Mario Kart wins hands down with my friends. I really don't know what all the fuss is about!

JoshuaD.Jul 1, 200810I've had this game for at least 4 months now, and I still don't have all the challenges complete. When my friends come over, the first thing we do is play ssbb. Good job Nintendo for making one of the best video games that the Wii has to offer.

-
SteveR.Jun 27, 20085I was looking forward to this, and was sucked in the hype. Its essentially a platform game, where you run back, forth and jump. It doesn't really utilize the Wii's #D, 360 degree play capability. There are better games out there.

ManoelQ.Jun 11, 20089"Super Smash Bros. Brawl" is an intense game, which makes you play for hours without wanting to stop. The game is perfect in replay and fun manners, but it has long loading screens and the Solo Mode could be a little better.

100Brawl is easily the most fun I’ve had on a Wii, and could be the most fun I’ve had with a game in ages. It’s just that good. There is just so much to do, and so many different and refreshing things added that it would be a crime not to at least take a look.
-
100Rarely has any title delivered so much amazing action, such a wide variety of modes, and so many hours of value. It doesn't get any better than this. [Mar 2008, p.82]
-
100It’s obvious that developer Game Arts have put a painstaking amount of effort into creating this game and every time we play it we’re discovering new Nintendo references which bring back a rush of nostalgia. Brawl’s chaotic multiplayer sessions are some of the best to be had on the system, plus there are plenty of challenges and modes to amuse those ‘friend-impaired’ individuals out there as well. It’s a no-brainer, every serious Nintendo fan out there should score themselves a copy of this game, invite some friends/victims around, and have a smashing good time.
