Despite the remaining core gameplay issues and the poor commentary, Madden NFL 12 is a great title. While superstar mode needs some work and online franchise could use some love, offline franchise is simply fantastic and is well worth dozens of hours of your attention. If you enjoyed Madden NFL 11 and are a fan of franchise mode, this game is a must.
I love EA Sports Madden NFL 12 since childhood on Xbox 360 in 2011 or 2012 since EA Sports NBA live 09 EA Sports Madden NFL 09 and more Xbox 360 games like Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012 Need For Speed The Run Madden NFL 13 Madden NFL 25 2013 Madden NFL 15 Madden NFL 16 and Madden NFL 17 Need For Speed Shift 2 and 007 legends on Xbox 360 since childhood and memories
It is the best madden since madden 08 and easily 2nd or 3rd best madden football game of all time in my opinion. I have great memories with this game and every other madden game snice hasn't lived up to this game.
If you are looking for just a fun time with some friends and don't care about franchises or online play, you might be better off with a previous version of Madden. If you want to control your own franchise or build your own team, then there have been enough enhancements to justify the purchase. Just realize that some on-field issues still exist.
Every year, the series brings a balance of improvement and ongoing flaws. Considering this year's game as a whole, improvements like the new presentation style and lack of player suction heavily outweigh the more minuscule issues that remain. It's a good kind of frustration for players, the kind where this year's game is definitely better than last year's, which may actually be enough incentive to give it a shot.
That Madden NFL 12 feels like a less passionate endeavor than even other yearly sports titles, less a labor of love and more a labor of necessity, is a criticism that likely won't mean much to either type of player. It's still video game football in a competitive and compelling environment, especially when played online with friends. It has more content than you will likely ever touch over the course of the next season of real football. In some ways, Madden NFL 12 is a better game than its predecessor. In others, not. It has significant flaws, and it has significant strengths.
This is a great iteration of a fantastic series. It is so much more than a stats upgrade, new game play mechanics are introduced that radically improve player experience.
It certainly isn't a brand new concept, but I don't know why so many people expect it to be. It's a football game. The rules of football do not change from year to year, there's only so much you can change about the gameplay. If you have a recent copy of Madden and don't care about roster updates, then don't buy it, pretty simple. However, if you do care about updates or haven't gotten one in a while, it's definitely worth picking up for a football fan. I think they improved franchise mode a bit, which is my favourite part. The main issues I have are that online is buggy at times, and they seem to have made passing to hard in relation to the ease of running. Aside from that the graphics are great, gameplay is fun, and it is a decent game.
Madden is Madden, i dont expect too much from them year to year. they are fun to play and i love the NFl so buying it is a must. Love the new updates with dynamic player ratings in franchise and superstar mode. Good all round gameplay and improved system and grpahics. cant ask much more than a sports game.
How does this game get progressively worse each year? NO COMPETITION. EA is running a monopoly and it's killing sim football fans. I'm pretty sure the graphics were better last year. This casual, piece of stink is an embarrassment. Madden 2001 had a better franchise mode. It's still as bare bones as ever. I understand that they're trying to make the game accessible for everyone but it is coming at a price. NCAA 12 is better by far but doesn't get the sales. Maybe they should let those guys do the next Madden. Just a suggestion.
Footballs answer to MW3 :) and it's been doing it for ages now. Shouldn't this be Micheals? I don't hear Madden in the commentary, have I missed something here? They really need to step up their **** wait no they don't... as long as people buy it they will repackage the same crap over and over won't they?
