Apr 16, 2011Even though the dlc is cheapish I still believe it is a little overpriced. The dlc gives you about 2-4 hours of extra play plus some extra achievements to keep you busy. It is definetly a move forward for Assassin's Creed dlc seen as the dlc for AC2 were extremely short and, in my opinion, not up to standard that I expect from such a popular Ubisoft game francise. People may say, "It does live up to the price, it adds single player and multiplayer content," well, last time I checked they were doing free multiplayer content as previously so why add on the multiplayer charge now. Criticism of the price over I will say that this dlc is rather fun to play and it does add a little to the main storyline of Assassin's Creed. For fans I do think it is worth buying, other people, well, I guess wait for a discount .… Expand
Mar 10, 2011Absolutely Superb DLC!!!
The Single-Player Sequence is a work of art! Lots of interesting missions and finale mission is fantastic!! Mindblowing ending which might spark up a few more debates on Brotherhood's cliffhanger and Assassin's Creed III's premise. On the multiplayer side, we get 4 new personas, 1 map and 2 new game modes. All the pre-order bonus characters are unlocked.
Overall, A Superb DLC from UBISOFT! Insiemme per la vittoria!… Expand
Jun 25, 2011This game is great, for the first half of it. For the first half of the game, maybe a little more, you are excited to play the game for long hours, and to return quickly. By the second half, it becomes painful. You want to beat the game, but it you don't want to play it. Its like a chore your parents give you, that you really don't want to do, but you have to. This is the type of game where you can't just stop playing the game without finishing it, but it is extremely tiring and boring to finish. Its a game you want to end. The story is great, and the action is as well. The way they include this storyline perfectly into the past is impressive, but nothing that hasn't been seen in one of their other games. It was impressive in the first game, but now its like they are trying to make you buy it because of the uniqueness of the story. The action is great as always. You could play this game for hours while running around and killing guards or civilians. But if that is what you want this game for, then I would recommend Grand Theft Auto. My favorite thing about this game is the incredible graphics and precise detail of the cities in the game. This packed in with the amazing free roam make the game visibly enjoyable. This is what makes the game. Without the free roam, and unique graphics, this game would be a complete failure. The Colosseum caught my eye because of tis incredible detail and preciseness. Da Vinci had some cool appearances, although not as much asI would have wanted. Overall, I think this game is definitely a game that should buy preowned from gamestop, and then return it within a week.… Expand
Apr 23, 2012Ubisoft learns, and it has definitely learned with Assassin's Creed II DLC packs. The Da Vinci Disappearance is neither great nor necessary, but it is a fairly good DLC pack and has a lot of substance. The story is told in eight missions as a separate tale from the main story, but it manages to add some context to Ezio's story without being too serious or confusing. These story missions are varied and original. There are also two new templar lairs to explore, a new gambling side-game to play and a new armor to use. For the achievement-hungry, ten new trophies to earn. All these things are gimmicks, yes, but they stock up for a complete DLC pack that covers all basics. To top it off, new characters and game modes for the online multiplayer of Brotherhood. Ultimately, The Da Vinci Disappearance is an acceptable DLC pack that has something to please each buyer.… Expand
