  1. The best new puzzle game since 2005's Lumines and one of the best puzzle 'toys' on Xbox 360. [Apr 2010, p.121]

Chime is a surprisingly good game. The puzzle concept in combination with the rhythm is addictive and more complex than you would think at first glance. This alone makes Chime worth the purchase. Its low price and good cause are extra reasons to make this game a must-have purchase.
  3. A simple idea that has never been done before. A short and fun title at a reasonable price considering it's for charity. I would like to see more of the same in the future.
  4. Chime does a good job of providing a fun and enjoyable experience that may not have a ton of music to choose from, but it offers enough to make the 400 Microsoft points ($5 US) a worthy expense when most of that cost will be going to charity.
  5. This experimental puzzle-music game is both hypnotic and addictive.
  6. At 400 Microsoft points and the fact that it’s going to charity, I can easily recommend it to those looking for a new music based puzzler.
  7. A brilliantly-designed title that players can easily sit down and relax to. Whilst it lacks in terms of content, the title can be enjoyed in short bursts and the donation to charity makes the Xbox Live Arcade title a deserving purchase, especially at the 400 Microsoft Points price tag.

Absolutely love it! The music is great especially how the song changes depending on how well you are going. Could not believe it was only 400 point!!

This game is fantastic! Here's to hoping for some DLC, because where it stands the 5 included levels are not enough. Other than that, pitch perfect. Kudos for including Philip Roth...Cliff Martinez would be another great choice (Solaris). Expand

An absolutely AMAZING game. Strongly recommended. Not only cheap (Approx. £6) but 60% will go to charity. It is addictive, fun, and well worth checking out. And, on top of all that, you get 50G JUST for buying the game! Expand

A friend recommended this game and it is *really* good. Part Lumines, part Tetris, it also channels REZ inasmuch as how you play affects how it sounds (always very cool, imo) and those Bit Generation games on the GBA. Looking really simple initially, it's actually quite deep, as you can either go for grid coverage or highscore (or both, if you're really good. I'm still struggling). most of all, it's very chill / cool to play. possibly the best 400 points I've spent in the XBLA marketplace since I got my 360. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Expand

Very fun game and worth the small price. The music is good - really enjoyed playing the game with 2 or 3 of the 5 songs. The others are not as good but ok. Some players may not be as much a fan of the music however, and if like many other players, you play the game for extended periods of time, the repetition of the music may get annoying.

It is very easy to play this game for hours on end thinking you've only played an hour or two, when actually it's been 4-5 hours.

At first this game seemed to have potential. But I have to say it's very disappointing. Not only are the controls a bit clunky and unresponsive, but the game's mechanics, scoring system and concept are not immediately obvious. It's got unnecessarily features and flashy graphics; not to mention the truly uninspiring "level" (if you can call it that) design. The soundtrack is also horrible; basically gave a new born baby a Xylophone to play with and recorded it. Any arcade game which requires a tutorial to explain what everything is on screen, what the aim of the game is etc. is pretty bad. But this is just embarrassing, because it's a game which should be extremely fast-paced, straightforward and addicting to play over and over yet it fails miserably in all departments other than ambition. I can credit it for trying to make a mindlessly boring game like Tetris into something more appealing...which it also fails at. Expand
