Time to reconsider my previous rating. This game has serious flaws, which become apparent after spending about an hour playing. The boss battles are horrid. Fighting Lu Bu in the flooded city becomes tedious because you can't jump well and you can't swim. Fighting Dong Zhou becomes annoying because of his "friend" who can trap and slowly kill you while you can't do anything about it. Also, the targeting mechanic is heavily flawed. If I lock onto an enemy, and move, it will pick a new target, usually a useless one. This game is not better than DW6, which while flawed, was less annoying. That gives it a 5/10 for me. Expand

  1. I think if you're already an established Dynasty Warriors fan, then you'll probably love what Strikeforce is doing for the series. Likewise, if you were a fan and fell off the wagon at some point, this is a great game to jump back on with. Finally, if you've never played a DW game before, or if the series hasn't held much appeal, I think Strikeforce can even be the game for you.
  2. Strikeforce is a great step toward finally integrating the online universe with Dynasty Warriors and an unexpected excuse to lower your head as other gamers pass you by. You're not hiding or hanging your head in shame, you're just looking for items.
  3. One of the better Dynasty Warriors games to come along in a while. Unfortunately, these extra elements added to the fairly stale DW formula aren't quite enough to overlook its shortcomings.
