A good and very solid Kinect beat-em-up for Kinect, combining an effective combat system to Marvel heroes' charm. One of the very best Kinect games of the holidays.
  2. Nov 27, 2012
Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth may be one of the most surprising Kinect titles of the year.
  3. Nov 21, 2012
Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth is an awesome game for all the young Marvel-fans out there, with nearly perfect Kinect controls and voice commands.

As usual, the gimmicks quickly become evident and tiresome, especially for folks familiar with the comic arc this game's story is based off of. However, there is some surprising polish here and you might have more fun with it than you'd expect as it is one of the few Kinect games where the controls actually work.

Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth is a "Kinect addicted" game. The good use of the vocal commands is pretty interesting and could be really hilarious with few friends gathered into the same room. Pity for the short length and the too-easy difficulty level.

While the game's simplistic combat, overall look and satisfying power moves will certainly appeal to younger fans of the Marvel Universe and may even warrant a purchase for them, those who are not Marvel Fans may just want to pass this Kinect title by.
  7. Nov 12, 2012
One of the least worst Kinect games this year, which although it suffers from all the usual control issues is at least mindless fun while it lasts.

Favorite kinect game up to now, the kids (8 years old & up) can enjoy the game, and so can I. Simple gameplay mechanics works well with kinect (good detection IMHO) yet you can get more in depth if you learn the combat mechanics and different types of attacks and ways to counter. Only negative point is that you have to work a lot to unlock all characters, but this is a gaming generalized problem, not specific to this game.

Co-op works also very well, as does versus. Fun to see the kids battle against each other or work in a team against the bad guys!!

    Good job Ubisoft Quebec!

This is no doubt my favorite kinect game. It is addictive and fast paced, with all my favorite marvel heroes in one game. With action that will make the creators of Batman: Arkham City cry, this is no doubt a must own for anyone with a kinect. Expand

I'm giving this game An 8 for what it's meant to be. It is not meant to be a world beating game, or an accurate installments in the marek avengers tale, but a fun kinect game to put you in the shoes of the marvel superheroes and just have fun. The controls work really well, interesting gimmicks such as use of the kinect microphone to make super moves. There are enough characters, content does become repetitive but it will last long enough to unlock all the characters, play through the trials and picking up the fairly simple achievements. For a kinect game, it's comparatively very good. Expand
