Sheer perfection. This fighting game came onto the scene and demolished all others with it's simple, yet complex system involving many different combinations of fighters. It's a game you can easily pick up, but will take much practice to master. Greatest fighting game of all time and one of the best games ever created. Giving this game anything less than a ten would not be doing justice. Expand

While it's undeniably easy to spam cheap tactics, Marvel vs Capcom 2 offers incredibly fun game play for a 15$ price that is well worth it.

Still the best fighting game ever made. Now I can play over the internet like I have always dreamed of. The best thing on earth that you can buy for 15 dollars in my opinion.

Still a classic game, but just doesn't feel right on xbox live. I've been playing it for a while now, and there for me is delay when you execute moves. What was good though is all the characters are unlocked straight away, and for nostalgia it's worth a go. But Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting and Soul Calibur are classics that still play like they did last decade, this feels tired.

Still the most fun available in a fighting game.Leaderboard is not relevant in this game due to lack balance of balance, but balance was not their goal when making this game as evident by the huge disparity.Fun was,and fun they delivered. Now with an opponent just a few button pushes away,if a good time is what you are looking for then you cant go wrong with mvc2.Being best at something and solid enough everywhere else that matters deserves a 10. Finally, MVC2 has and always will have the perfect balance of pace, character and addictiveness. This game in nearly flawless if you are a true fighter-game vet and the ability to place online has been a truly remarkable feature.

This really is the ultimate 2-D fighting game. With a cast of 56 characters, and almost limitless combo possibilities, this is a must-have for any fighting game fan. That being said, to be any good at this game, it requires lots and lots of time in the training mode. It's not very welcoming for beginners, and has a steep learning curve. However, the rewards for your hard work are plentiful - kicking butt with your hand-picked team is a great feeling! Expand

A fun and frantic fighting game with a huge roster of memorable characters and a lot of charm and personality. The game is only let down by its small number of game modes.

  1. MvC2 rewards hardcore fighters; we just wish Capcom had better rewarded hardcore fans. [Sept 2009, p.84]

In my eyes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is among the best fighting games ever crafted and I'm thrilled to have it on a modern platform. I judge this port--especially the PS3 version--"worthy."
  3. Capcom's called it "the best fighting game net code ever created for consoles". We're inclined to agree. When all is said and done, if you're a fighting game fan MvC2 is an essential purchase.
