Marvel vs. Capcom Origins is an acceptable package. While Iron Galaxy did a decent job updating these games in terms of visuals and online play, they couldn't change the basic gameplay. One of the games included in this package is fun to play and the other is pretty poor. It's not the worst HD remake you could buy, but there are just too many other ones to make this a must buy.

Marvel vs. Capcom Origins brings the fun with 2 classic fighters. If you are a 2D fighting fan, like myself, you will find something to like here.

    Just for nostalgic fans.

Old-schoolers will appreciate the effort put into Origins, even if it reinforces the progress fighters have made since that late-'90s Silver Age.

One may be annoyed by Capcom's recycling mastery, but it's still hard not to appreciate Marvel vs Capcom Origins, a nice compilation of two must-have titles of versus fighting. On top of those, the quality of this compilation's remastering, with nice menus, lighting fast loadings, and online play really make it interesting.

Nice graphics settings to remember the old arcade machines and new "challenges" to get yourself entertained again with a great and fun game that never gets old. The price is a bit high for being a port of a game with 15~ years old, but remember, it's Capcom. Full Review »

On Jan 1 2015, this game will no longer be available for download, which is sad as the original MvC, while not as good as its sequels, was a very good game to play back in the day and it holds its own fairly well here. The port is good as it includes two games, the original Marvel Superheroes and MvC 1. MvC 1 is the star of the show here as it sets the stage nicely for MvC 2, one of the best fighting games of all time. This is a good way to see this fabulous series' roots and for people to get a better understand of where these types of fighting games came from. While we will probably be forever waiting for things like Marvel v. Street Fighter because of licensing issues, this will be your last hope to experience a time where 2D fighting games were king. But you better hurry before it's taken away forever Full Review »
