This DLC is more Mass Effect, so in the end it's hard to complain, but it is incredibly short, and mostly just focuses on combat instead of the dialog, and the concept of terrorists trying to destroy a planet is really cool, but never really makes it as cool as it could be, some more dialog with the terrorist like trying to negotiate with him, and rescuing hostages would have been nice, and it could have been longer, in the end there is a moral choice to make, and is fun, but while it is a good DLC I will only recommend it to Mass Effect super fans who are looking for a little bit more gameplay time, but others can safely pass. This how every Mako mission should be. If they would of gave us more quality Mako missions like Bring Down the Sky, and less quantity, Mass Effect would be a 10 without a question. Full Review »

The first DLC to Mass Effect comes in the form of "Bring Down the Sky", where Batarian extremists plan to crash an asteroid into a human colony named Terra Nova, and you need to stop it. You and your squad land on the asteroid and that's where the DLC starts.

You get about an hour or two of gameplay, while getting your first look at the Batarian race and going through the story. It's not a critical part of the game, but since it's so cheap (free with the PC version), it's hard not to get it.
