  1. Meteos Wars is definitely a lean package, putting in just the bare essentials, and while it might lack the visual zest of some of Q Entertainment’s better-known titles, the gameplay, which hits the right balance between approachability and replayability, more than makes up the difference.
  2. The blocks are appropriately vibrant, the launching effect is cool, the backgrounds sci-fi-ish, and the momentum-driving music never grows too repetitive—a significant achievement for a puzzle game.

Meteos Wars is an excellent addition to the XBLA family and a delightful treat for fans of Q Entertainment in general. While it does suffer from transition issues to a traditional control scheme you can easily adjust to it after less than an hour.
  4. With all that content to complement its addictiveness, Meteos Wars shouldn't be missed by those who crave block puzzles. [Holiday 2008, p.69]

It looks snazzy and sounds great. It's just too bad the online multiplayer didn't perform better in my experience.
  6. We can safely say that Meteos Wars isn't as good as its dual screen brother, but don't take that to mean you should cast the thought of forking out your hard-earned MS Points aside.

From the looks of things the formula is still going strong and is in no real danger of becoming stale any time in the near future. [Feb 2009, p.113]
  8. The title retains most of what made it a success, and additions like Planet Impact are a nice touch. On the other hand, the online multiplayer is a bit of a letdown, so in the end, whether Meteos Wars is worth your hard-earned $10 depends on how much you need a new puzzle game.

Meteos Wars may not be ideal with a standard controller, but it is still a fun, hectic and different take on the traditional block clearer.

Not as fun as the original Meteos, but is somewhat fun. The fusion is cut out and that made me mad, but they add 2 new types of elements. INot as fun as the original Meteos, but is somewhat fun. The fusion is cut out and that made me mad, but they add 2 new types of elements. I believe they are ice and ink. Anyways, there is no point for new elements if there is no fusion. But the new planets are kinda cool... Last resort:a 6. Full Review »
