If you're familiar with Naruto, it's faithful stuff. If not, it's hard, fast, and bloody weird. [June 2013, p.83]

All in all, Naruto is worth a pick up for Naruto fans or those who enjoy a simple combat game.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is another entry in this long running franchise, and it feels like it's been running for a bit too long now. It's not a bad game by any means, it's just starting to really show its age, and the minor tweaks aren't quite keeping up in keeping the game fresh. But for the series newbies there's no better place to start.

Every Naruto game is an interesting ride on the adventures of the animated series, but not every one of them turns out to be a great gaming experience and Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is the perfect example. If you're an anime fanatic there is no doubt that you'll enjoy the combat style and the wide variety of combos, but if you want to live the emotion of the show, maybe you have to keep watching it since the story mode can get extremely tedious.

Ultimate Ninja Storm's reputation as Naruto's most consistently enjoyable game series is safe.

After a stellar effort with the second Ultimate Storm game in 2010, Cyber Connect hasn't just gone downhill with a second lackluster sequel. They've gone into terminal velocity with a game that puts visuals ahead of gameplay, something that they can't even manage to pull off properly.

Stick with it and you may find yourself disappointed by the uneven challenge factor and scanty online features, but these are obscured by all the brightly-coloured nonsense and if you get far enough in to notice then you're probably enough of a fan not to care.

A good game both for Naruto fans and those who are new to Kishimoto and Studio Pierrot saga, capable of delivering many spectacular moments mainly thanks to the superb cel-shading graphic engine and well thought-out boss battles. However some flaws like lackluster exploration phases, missing playable characters and too many idle times during dialogue keep it from being the great Naruto game we'd wanted it to be.

Many are the new features of Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 but not one of them can really move the gameplay forward. At the same time the game is an absolute buy for every Naruto fan out there.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 retains the series' impressive visuals and its accessible combat, but gets bogged down by its focus on storytelling.

With truly epic boss battles, a well told captivating story and an easy way to understand the fighting system for newcomers, this may very well be the best way to experience Naruto in animated form. Though it requires you to have some knowledge about the Naruto Universe and that you really care about the story, Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 will be one heck of a ride if you fulfill these criteria.

Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 unleashes a tornado of ninja adrenaline that will strike the fans with all the power of its original story and artistic glory, even if some persistently unbalanced combat dynamics and roster incoherence will upset someone online. Thus said, not the perfect storm, yet.

Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 starts strong and has a few inspired moments, but it can’t keep up its momentum and plods through most of its material, too often asking you to watch rather than play.

The last Naruto game brings back the story mode, adding some new nice visuals and effects. Unfortunately multiplayer characters are still unbalanced.

If you're already a Naruto believer, this game's excellent visuals and its faithfulness to the source material will outweigh its flaws. [April 2013, p.76]

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is an amazing title if you're a Naruto fan. The roster is large and while the new character count is low, all the characters feel much cleaner and tighter. While in previous games a spamming tactic would almost always end in victory, Storm 3 is much more strategy and skill based online. Aside from online is a very cinematic story mode that has a decent length without doing any side missions. The story can be very slow and down right boring at times. This does balance with the fast paced and incredible boss fights however making the story very worth playing through as well as unlocking all the characters in the roster. Other modes include an online mode with tournaments, ranked matches, free matches, endless matches, and more. Offline one can also create tournaments locally as well as learn timing and combos in the expansive training mode. In the end this game is a simple fun game that you will love unless you take it too seriously. Full Review »

I reviewed this game as a 0 because of the disrespect of Cyber Conect with Naruto fans. They promissed us a game with to many characters, a huge history mode and I tell you what they did. They destroyed the game on the end of history mode, giving us an end to Naruto story. They promissed a history mode that our choice would change the game, but what really changes is only the ninja weapon you will use. They could finish the story as the did, but as a alternative ending. Besides that, none of the new character are playable. The hidden mist sword ninjas, silver and gold brother, and even the edo kages (that are completely done on the story mode) are playable. I bought this game, and I was disappointed. It's only ninja storm generations with the jinchurikis, Madara and Nagato. And the worst is that they put some 1rst phase characters as young naruto, young sasuke, only to fill up the character list, but they not put them all. OMG I'm really disapointed Cyber Connect, I expected more of you. Full Review »

If you like Naruto just hop on this and avoid what critics say. Most likely 90% of the people reviewing this game have not watched the show so avoid what they all say. Full Review »
