  • Summary: Team up with a cast of crazy critters, unleashing your animal instincts in Open Season, the game – a riotous romp in the great outdoors in which a rowdy brood of forest animals turns the tables on a bunch of unsuspecting hunters. When a domesticated grizzly named Boog gets lured into leavining the creature comforts of home by a fast-talking mule deer named Elliott, he finds himself lost in the woods just three days before hunting season begins. Forced to "rough it" in the great outdoors, Boog goes native, rallying all the forest animals to take back their home and send the hunters packing. Interact with Beth, Shaw, and all your animal favorites from the Open Season film. Throw skunk bombs, hurl rabbits, use acorn-firing squirrels, and pull outrageous woodland pranks to scare the pants off the hunters. Roll in a giant snowball, ride the rapids on a floating outhouse, zip through tunnels in a crazy mine cart ride, and take on more madcap adventures as Boog discovers how to go from "Mild" to "Wild". Challenge your friends or team up together in 4-player mini-games. [Ubisoft] Expand

  1. Open Season’s only true flaw is its lack of replay value.
  2. It's cute, comical but simple. [Christmas 2006, p.96]
  3. As Open Season shows, the search for a kids movie game that appeals just as much to parents as it does to little ones proves to be an elusive one. Sub-par controls and by-the-numbers gameplay aside, this one is still worth a purchase if A) you're buying strictly for your child or B) you're looking for an easy 1000 achievement points.
  4. Put it this way: if your kid gets stuck on a game like Open Season, you know something's amiss. Consider it a good test of whether videogames really are for them.

Sweet characters in a great game. What can you say about a game that's perfect? It's so much fun and it's 4 player, so my whole family (hubby and 2 young ones) can play together. This is what gaming is all about to us! Expand

Join those fun furry creatures as you relive the adventures from the movie. I don't have kids, but us adults can play kids games too, right? Ahem. Well, I love animated kids films and I love some movie based kid's games too (Shrek was a great game!). This one is top notch for the kid movie loving adult. Expand

I love this game simply for the way it brought joy to my children every minute that they played it yesterday. There are precious few GOOD games for children. This one shines. It's got the whole package. Great graphics, a wonderful storyline, and great game play functionality. My kids are great at the Xbxo controls, but their dad sucks! Even I found the game easy to control though. Expand
