  1. The conclusion is that if you’re a massive darts fan who religiously follows the game, then this is your equivalent of FIFA Soccer or Pro Evo. If you’ve only a passing interest in pub games it’ll probably do very little to convert you.
  2. The gameplay works, but the simple presentation and general lack of polish unfortunately relegate the game to something only a very small minority will enjoy.
  3. If you enjoy darts in real life then you're likely to have some fun with PDC 08, but if you don't then there are many, many more enjoyable and better looking games out there.
  4. If you are an absolute diehard darts fan, someone who really enjoys watching the televised tournaments then there is possibly something here for you, otherwise if you’re simply looking for a game of darts, one that you can enjoy with your mates? Well nip down to your local high street, a bog standard dartboard is likely to cost about half of where this game will RRP.
  5. Dart board - £20, Darts - £5, Not having to play this game – Priceless.
  6. It's tempting to praise Oxygen for tackling the tricky job of turning this pub sport into an enjoyable videogame but instead, all Oxygen proves is why darts is better off as a novelty mini-game rather than the main attraction.
  7. With an unnecessarily simplistic control system, terrible commentary and a lifeless customisation system, the only slight nugget of entertainment can be found in the licensed career mode.
