  1. Imagine a free-roaming King Kong game, with a main plot line that you can ignore as you run through the jungle, beating the piss out of dinosaurs with tree trunks and rocks. That would have been awesome. Instead, we were given this six to eight hour snooze fest.

This is hands down, the best movie based game ever made. The controls and mechanics are easy to learn and to master, the graphics are top-notch and just look really good and the sound is amazing, the gameplay in both parts of the game are solid and fun. However the game itself is not very long and you play as Kong only a handful of times. But in short this is a great game that is really worth playing. Full Review »

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie is a 5-6 hour campaign based off the movie but at the same time completely different from the movie story-wise. The graphics look good for being 7 years old but won't blow you away. You can also play the game with old visuals from that time period. The game play consists of playing as Jack or Kong and they are both great but Kong will seem more fun. The game even gets intense as you are playing as Jack and get rammed by a raptor from behind and frantically try to run to cover. The only problem with the game is the end sequence in New York is very short and pretty bland. Another thing is the campaign is short and is not worth the retail price of $60 but overtime it has gone down to around $10-$15 which i would say is worth it. Full Review »

To be honest I stay away from movie games because well...they suck. However this game changed my mind (for only this game). The story follows the movie and you get to play as Jack and King Kong. The game follows the movie but it is a little expanded for more gameplay. For being a game made in 2006, it has incredible graphics. The gameplay is pretty fun and can make you frustrated when you realize you really have to conserve your ammo (as Jack). Also, I liked the audio for Kong and the dinosaurs in the game and when they scream, you may or may not shake a little. Anyway, if you can find the game go check it out for yourself. Full Review »
