Overall, I find that this game is enjoyable for what it is, and it’s fair to say that it doesn’t try to be anything else than what it is: essentially only a multiplayer game. It’s a fun one at that, so I do indeed recommend you play it if you’re into this type of gaming.

I can't believe how critics give this game a 30/100 or even a 50/100, the game is EPIC, for me it's the next TF2, im sure it will, it'sI can't believe how critics give this game a 30/100 or even a 50/100, the game is EPIC, for me it's the next TF2, im sure it will, it's simple but sweet. For those of you yearning for a Rainbow Six Vegas-ish experience, look no further than this $10 gem.

Is this game perfect? Of course not.
For those of you yearning for a Rainbow Six Vegas-ish experience, look no further than this $10 gem.

Is this game perfect? Of course not. Are the graphics ultra-realistic? No. BUT Does this game deserve the low-ball scores that the critics have given it? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

There is something exceedingly likable about STX. The cell-shaded graphics do not make it feel like any less of a military cover shooter, and the camouflage/gear options are nice. Multiplayer matches are easy to find (at least on the west coast) and the variety of customization options and unlocks add a good amount to the entertaining team-based firefights. The game finds an enjoyable balance between the realism of tactical cover-shooters and more casual game types. Generally I lean towards the more realistic games (Operation Flashpoint, etc) but something about this one has really hooked me.

You will not see 100,000 players on in any given afternoon, but don't expect this game to disappear any time soon. The community of players is team-oriented and consistent. At a minimum give the demo a shot whether it is your type of game or not, you will have a good time.
