  1. The BIGS 2 comes through huge. It's still the game that it was meant to be, it's got a season mode and it's still baseball as opposed to a sideshow. The new version is deeper and a little more polished, and that's more than can be said about most sports games.
  2. The Bigs 2 offers an enjoyable and arcadish take on baseball. It may not offer enough depth for purists, but for players like me, that like a little bit of arcade fun mixed in, it delivers in spades. A worthy sequel this game is indeed.
  3. A more rounded approach would have been welcome and perhaps a lesser emphasis on giving the computer dozens of legendary catches a game would let some players just enjoy the Bigs 2 and play baseball for fun, which is how it should be.
  4. Irregular, often frustrating, boring, not technical enough for simulation addicts, not fun or crazy enough for arcade lovers, despite a few positive aspects The BIGS 2 gives off a lukewarm feeling by taking a middle-of-the-road approach.

Great game with epic baseball sequences, tight controls, fun arcade style, and great player models - where is the love for the ONLY baseball game that's worth playing since the MVP baseball franchise? Expand
  2. They were not lying when they said baseball players use steroids because in the Bigs 2 its more fun have you ever imagine a baseball player jumping of the side wall of the baseball field to catch a ball which was intended to be homerun well in the Bigs 2 that is possible! some how but its way fun when it happens. In the game there are three modes number one is the play ball mode which is basically just an exhibition game then there is become a legend mode this lets you make a character from scratch and then watch him improve as you pick his team and play games in America all the way to Japan and Mexico and really it is a very fun mode then there is home run pinball which puts you onto the streets of New York, Japan and many others the rules are your going to have to hit the signs on the buildings (or the buildings themselves) to score points it is a fun mode but not one to waste time with overall the bigs 2 is a very fun time waster and if you enjoy baseball players jumping unrealistically far try it!! i doubt you will be disappointed Expand

This game is not for those looking for a realistic baseball game. It's like those cheesy NFL Blitz and NBA Jam games. In fact, I think there was a baseball game made by Midway just like those two. Most games are like 20 runs to 19 runs, since it's easy to hit a home run. It's entertaining for maybe 30 minutes. After that, the constant homeruns just got irritating. Expand
  4. The Bigs was an extremely fun game (except for Home Run Pinball). The Bigs 2 - not so much. It's like they (the developers) looked at all the things that made The Bigs fun, and then eliminated them in The Bigs 2. Things like getting to choose which path you want to take with your "superstar". You don't get to decide if you want a speed demon or a slugger in the early portions - the path now is fairly linear. Another gripe is the way they programmed the batter's "power-up". It's fairly useless in The Bigs 2. You actually hit better not pulling the trigger and forcing the opposing pitcher to throw a strike. I have no idea why they changed that aspect - it was a fairly stupid decision. (The Big Blast & Big Heat are still fairly good though.) There are going to have to be some seriously good reviews for me to shell out the dough for The Bigs 3. As for The Bigs 2 - my recommendation is to skip it, or at the least buy it at a steep discount. Expand
