The Delusion of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind is a great surprise, a very clever game that works for everyone, from casual players to old puzzle fans. A great addition to the 3DS catalogue.
Despite some problems with its camera and controls, this game is an interesting and enjoyable puzzle experiment that results in a good portable experience for 3DS.
The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind is a solid puzzle game at its heart and one which I do recommend that people look into picking up if you’re looking for a new puzzle experience. It’ll have you working your mind multiple times throughout the course of the game as you attempt to progress the levels, however for me it is just a little slow to thoroughly grab me.
It’s hard to recommend The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind. On one hand, it has a pretty nice room switching mechanic, and if it used a pure puzzle gameplay system, it would be a great title. However, the inclusion of action elements makes the game frustratingly difficult, and mixed with poor presentation, becomes a disappointing mess.
