A neat concept spoiled by a sluggish response, an imperfect UI and a pen too chunky for detail. [Feb 2012, p.92]

A decent, though expensive, tool for those interested in a neater way to get some painting and drawing done. But it has its issues. [Issue#80, p.86]

Udraw Studio is a tablet controlled painting game, though it feels more like a coloring book than an actual game. Great for small children, but to simple for adults.

A sweet idea, hobbled by the hardware. [Jan 2012, p.99]

  1. Got it for 10 bucks on a sale, very entertaining. Spent a while playing it. There are plenty of pictures to color in and can consume a lot of your time if you're trying to make it look good. Expand
  2. Not that bad of a game, At least not bad enough to earn a 5 overall score. Comes with 3 modes, 1 is an in-depth tutorial like mode. The second is the basic free play where you can use numerous items and colors to draw on numerous canvases. The last is a mini game section that features 2 mini games (an Alien destroyer game and a Tilt maze game) and coloring-books to draw in. Basic but it helps you get familiar with the tablet. As for the negatives Doesn't take long to beat this game (get all the achievements), I have played it for nearly 3 hours and I am already 2/3 into it. Also the mini games are rather frustrating at times and not as enjoyable as the rest of the game. Overall, I had quite a bit of fun playing it aside from the minor annoyances with the mini games. The fact that it's rather cheap adds to it's value as well. I'd recommend it. Expand
