Like it or not, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is the penultimate version of the game available. The gameplay has been refined, the roster is bigger and even more diverse than before, and everything else has been tightened and streamlined for online play. If you are a fan of the series, this is the version that you must own.

It won't win you over if you didn't click with it the first time, but if you enjoyed your time in this crossover, the new characters and updates should keep you hooked for a little while longer.

More, more, more. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has more of everything from the original: more characters and costumes, more stages, more modes available already on the disc, simply more fighting possibilities than ever starring some of the most popular Marvel and Capcom characters.

If you own previous –non-Ultimate- versions of this punch-and-kick game there is no reason to buy this one. Otherwise, you should try it – it is still a great fight with crazy visuals and endless multiplayer fun. [Jan 2012]

  1. This is one of the best games of 2011. With more characters, stages, moves, modes, and overall balancing, this is the game Capcom should have released in the first place. Expand
  2. This game is pretty good if you always wanted to buy Marvel Vs Capcom 3 but you didn't. It's almost the same game with fews minors changes ( like spec mode online , new menus, etc) + 12 news charaters and a few more map.In the other hand, if you already bought MVC3 at full price, you might not want to get this again at this price, unless you really wanna play those 12 news charaters. It's like a MW3 in fact , the same game but with some upgrades expect they will tell you it is and won't try to sell it to you like it's a brand new game. It's up to you to decide, but if you like MVC3 you will surely love this one. 3. Isn't this why we have DLC? Seriously I paid $60 on day one for MVC3 and now a year later I am expected to drop another $40 for some minor tweaks to the game mode and 12 new fighters. Why couldn't I just download an update for $15-$20 to my HD? I can't knock the game too much it is great game game, a bit of a button masher's paradise not a technical fighter at all, but great visuals and cool characters, alot of fast action fun if you have friends to play with locally, never did like playing fighting games online always more fun to trash talk in person :) But I give it 5 out of 10 because this is the game that should have come out last year. 4. Go to hell Capcom for using this Outdated Mid-90's Money Scheme just release DLC and don't blame the disaster in Japan last year for your ravenous greed Expand
