You and three other players (A.I. controlled or Human), join together in a Breakout-style battle, each controlling a paddle protecting their own castle from rebounding fireballs. Use your skill to deflect these missiles onto other players’ castles. Once you breach each opponent's walls, it's game over for them, until the last man standing wins the day. [Atari] Collapse

  1. For fans with a taste of all things retro, picking it up for just 400 Microsoft points (or about $5) seems like a no-brainer.
  2. 70
Warlords useless original version and some odd Achievement quirks (I met the goal for 3 Achievements but never received points for them) take some shine off this updated classic, but for $5 this title is a bargain.
  3. The evolved game is fun in small doses and more so in multiplayer, but the archaic classic mode is a game that should be left to rest in peace.
  4. But unless you have fond memories of Warlords' primitive arcade past, its gameplay is just too simplistic to offer more than a weak dose of transient wistfulness. [Sept 2008, p.77]
  5. The lack of options in gameplay, and even aesthetics, provide an experience that all-too-quickly invokes a sense of title completion; experiencing everything a title has to offer.
  6. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Is it possible for a game to immediately qualify for Microsoft’s new “delisting” policy?
  7. 1/10 and only because of the tiny pinprick of nostalgia the title gave me.
