Platformer lovers who are also fans of the license are likely to get a kick out of Curious George for the short time that it lasts, and I don't think anyone can discount the game's beautiful presentation, but in the end I think going with a weekend rental is about all that most gamers will get out of this.
  2. Platformer lovers who are also fans of the license are likely to get a kick out of Curious George, and I don't think anyone can discount the game's beautiful presentation, but in the end I think sticking with a weekend rental is the best way to go.
  3. The delightfully cute children's tale gets a movie, and naturally a video game too. Pity it's not that good and will bore the younger gamers away in no time.
  4. For a game based on a movie (based on a set of children's stories), Curious George is more than adequate. While it stumbles here and there in terms of gameplay, the game will nonetheless appeal to those younger players with an itch to play as an animated monkey.
  5. Curious George may be squarely aimed at a younger audience, but even they will likely tire of its overly repetitive minigames and extremely simplistic platforming.

The gameplay can be hard and imbalanced, and while the design seems fitting for it's age demographic, strange gameplay issues (such as a flawed double jump) will make the experience very frustrating for young gamers.

The monkeys skills are well-represented in his 13-episode adventure, but a stiffness in the controls creates frustration in situations that rely too much on accurate double-jumping. [Apr 2006, p.85]
  8. When you win Curious George, the game just ends. No celebration. No fanfare. It's as if the creators are acknowledging that nothing much has been accomplished.

Truth be told, what were we too expect? We were not expecting the next incredible platforming extraordinary title. We were simply expecting a Truth be told, what were we too expect? We were not expecting the next incredible platforming extraordinary title. We were simply expecting a terrible to above average platforming game to keep our children entertained for little over a few hours. the job gets done. curious George fans will be more pleased to watch someone play the game then be interactive with their classic book story being butchered and turned entirely mainstream. curous George does what the developers attained for it...to be fun for kids to play and for adults to watch their kids enjoy.
