CBassDec 2, 20066It could have been great, but fatal flaws with passing in general (especially the play action pass), make this game almost unplayable. Still not even close to the ESPN NFL game that EA forced out of the market.

BlueFalconSep 4, 20068I was surprised with how much the game improved this year. But with that said I was expecting zero improvement and maybe a pooly thought out "feature" or 2 added on. That's not the case though. But, I can't help but feel like ESPN NFL 2K5 plays better, and still has cooler features.

JimA.Aug 26, 200610Another great addition to the Madden series. EA makes some minor improvements that pay off. The game continues to get better, more realistic, and more fun every year.

It may still be the best gridiron option by default, but Madden 07 is a disappointing step backward on the Xbox. [Oct. 2006, p.77]

65If you played last years game, then it's almost impossible to justify purchasing Madden NFL 07.

80EA's challenge is not to simplify their simulation or stop adding detail, but to integrate those features so well that players can simply marvel at how advanced the game has become. The Superstar revisions are a step in the right direction, since they allow players to focus on the entire game one player at a time, but otherwise that's just not the case.
