  • Summary: Hunted by Dahaka, an immortal incarnation of Fate seeking divine retribution, the Prince embarks on a new journey on a cursed island. Only with courage and the mastery of new combat arts can the Prince emerge victoriously. As the Prince, you can develop your own fighting style by manipulating the environment and the enemies. 1. The prince has gone from an "Aladdin"-style teenager to a grim, angry young adult. He's even more beautifully drawn than before, and this year's installment adds a much better combat system.
  2. The game is darker, bloodier, and edgier all around. The environments all look beautiful, and the combat animation is seamless.
  3. Ubisoft has taken a flawed game of boundless promise, destroyed some (but not all) of its appeal, fixed some (but not enough) of its problems, and jeopardised the whole endeavour by making the same mistake twice and rushing it to market before it was steady on its feet. Prince of Persia is strong and supple enough to survive this with many of its immense virtues intact. But it deserved so much better. [Christmas 2004, p.80]

Largely missed opportunity. Those who loved the original for its setting and style will be disappointed and put off by the direction the series has taken.

Even better than sands of time.
  2. This a great game but not as good as other entries in the series, the Prince isn't as an enjoyable character as he was in Sands of Time, in this he comes across as a guy to tries to hard to be a bad ass, the combat is cool and more brutal than it was in Sands of Time, and the plat forming is even better, and the story is pretty cool, it's still a great game with good controls, while I can recommend this don't expect it to be as good as Sands of Time. What finally forced me to send this back to Gamefly unfinished was the repetitive combat dialogue; screams, taunts, etc. Even then, I could barely put up with the back tracking, drab environments, and terrible map. This game is very disappointing, it had such potential. Expand
