  1. Rayman 3's most awesome attribute, as incredible as the movies, dialogue, and gameplay are, is a level of visual splendor that defies everything I've come to know about lighting effects in a video game. [Mar 2003, p.47]
  2. Ubi Soft gives their mascot the star treatment and it pays off in a game that captures the real fun of platform hopping, environmental puzzle solving, and boss character combat. Rayman 3 is a treat.
  3. It's the gameplay in Rayman 3, though, that really keeps you hooked. [Apr 2003, p.84]

A solid platformer that absolutely drips with style.
  5. Doesn't blow the doors off "Rayman 2," but it does further refine the formula, is completely worthy of the Rayman name, and is also the best platformer on the Xbox thus far.
  6. It doesn’t aim to break the mould or do anything particularly innovative, but instead relies on proven ingredients and a good line in humour to keep things ticking.
  7. The camera and the linear fashion of the levels didn’t make me a Rayman convert but I did have fun – especially with those drug-inspired transition sections. Far out, man!
  8. I didn't find this game particularly challenging but it's still loads of fun.

I hesitate to call it a nice try, because in some ways it didn't even really do that.
  10. 70
Bad voice decisions and an inexplicable step back in control tightness make Rayman 3 a disappointment, especially given the series’ usually extraordinary standards.
  11. These bright spots don't really offset the repetitive, frustrating, and sometimes just plain dull parts. [Apr 2003, p.84]
  12. There's a certain amount of wit and flair evident throughout Hoodlum Havoc's cut-scenes, and there are certainly some very slick production values. The problem is that, in terms of raw enjoyment, the game is somehow underwhelming. [May 2003, p.104]
  13. Snide voice acting turns cutesy bit players Globox and Murfy into electronic annoyances, and Hoodlum Havoc revels in its lame humor. [Apr 2003, p.68]

Absolutely great game. Great bosses, minigames and music. The graphics aren't amazing obviously but the art direction is great. Really really fun, a true classic. Full Review »

When I was younger this Game was my Favourite Game ever, I still look back at it and am not Disappointed. It's definitely an Amazing Experience but doesn't give me that much of a Thrill anymore as it did back then Full Review »
