This movie is just bullsh.t. The character of vin is a short tempered, self-centered a..hole who wants to kill anyone at the drop of a hat. How can you feel bad about the loss of his wife, when his short temper single handily makes him responsible for killing 3 police officers during a drug bust. I?ve wasted 90 minutes of my life. If I had a time machine I would not use it to stop the assassinations of Kennedy or Martin Luther King Jr. or warn people about the attacks of 911, I would travel back in time to stop myself from seeing this movie. Everybody is trashing this film....I thought it was the best acting job Vin Diesel has done. The scene in the hospital when he finds out his wife is dead...the look on his face...the anguish....amazing. Also the realism was there...sure it was hollywooded up a bit but when a gun fight happened people fell....you sensed the urgency to find cover, etc.....I would recommend this movie to all....and people that gave it a bad review need to watch it again. Vin is starting to enter Steven Seagal/Jean Claude Van Damme territory making garbage like this. Check his better dramatic work like "Boiler Room".

This film was fantastic, I bought it, I watched it and it was brilliant, why must we see a bunch of old farts who would not know a good film if it jumped up and bit them on the ass review movies, this explains why all the trash over budget junk gets on, for real people, I know you would love this film, the story isn?t sub-standard and that rubbish about Vin moving into the whole Seagal/Van Damme genre of movie, go shut up, this film is clever and looks and feels fantastic and I loved it!! I am still waiting for Vin to make a good movie with him in the lead role. He has talent, but should lose his current advisor before his career is in ruins. His latest effort is terrible.

Nice going, Vin. You've turned yourself from an unknown scrawny worthless lout into a internationally-recognizable physically-imposing marginally-interesting lout.

This movie was great, I can't imagine how anyone is giving it a 0. I loved this movie. The premise was great and the entire movie kept me entertained. This is a very under rated movie that deserves much more credit.

If movies were role models for a motherless and fatherless society lacking in too many ways to list, this would be a bad movie. Little Joey just wants to be superman. He wants your attention and admiration. He wants to be important and accepted. He is looking in all the wrong places so have a beer and peep into his private life for a little fun without getting your hands dirty at his expense. I have seen much worse but have seen better from VD. Cops and the government don't need any more encouragement to be in your business. Getting them out is the challenge if possible. I didn't fall asleep. I remember what happened. It brought me in and got me involved even if the story line is roughly familiar. Not much new here but not bad. Expand

Diesel makes a violent bid to align himself with the Clint Eastwood-Charles Bronson-Steve McQueen tradition, but he lacks the charisma, emotional strength and humor to do so.
  2. While you're enduring the usual formulaic yada yada -- at least there are yuks to enjoy.
