    This is one of the most powerful films that I have seen. I can't believe this happens in our world. A tragedy on the level of the great Greek tragedies. Compeling. It left me and my girlfriend riveted to the screen. Had to wait for people to leave the theatre before we could back on our legs. This one gets a 10. Super acting. What a great movie.

    Amateur acting, a wobbly script and a hard-to-swallow finale round out the film, which will, sadly, invoke ridicule in place of shock and anguish.

    Raised in Mumbai, classically trained actor-turned-writer-director Khanna addresses the volatile issue of women's rights within Islamic households, and if his sensationalistic debut feature makes its point with a heavy hand, it's also starkly effective.
