Terrific performances and skillful direction more than make up for the contrived plot.

Quirky, memorable and ultimately a terrific, one-of-a-kind ensemble film about (among other things) family, food, artistic integrity, love and loyalty.

Danny was outstanding in this performance as portraying the "Old county" traditional Italian father along with its culture. The demonstration of cooking fine continental cuisine was genuinely captured on the screen than I have ever seen. Clever, a truely well crafted film. I can't wait to see more of Bob Giraldi's work. We a great director here.

This is the kind of movie that all filmmakers should aspire to achieve. The writing, acting direction, and cinematography were Oscar level. See this movie!

This is one of the best films made in a long time. The acting, writing, direction and cinematography are first-class and the movie itself is like a hearty sauce...every ingredient adds to the flavor. This is a must-see!

Gritty, fresh filmaking, oh so cleverly fusing the backdrop of a real lower Manhattan restaurant, filled with spicy and engaging characters. Here is the wicked comic/dramatic portrayal of obnoxious patrons, chefs, sex, and gangsters. A gem Gritty, fresh filmaking, oh so cleverly fusing the backdrop of a real lower Manhattan restaurant, filled with spicy and engaging characters. Here is the wicked comic/dramatic portrayal of obnoxious patrons, chefs, sex, and gangsters. A gem of a ensemble cast, bravo Danny Aielo with an ending would make Scorsese proud. Films like this give independent filmaking a good name and show what Hollywood "product" lacks. Expand
