LandonL.Oct 5, 20080To say that this film was a steaming pile of mediocrity would be an overstatement. Box office poison. Stay away.

JayHJan 25, 20093Predictable hogwash. It started out well enough but it disintegrated into a preachy and unconvincing melodrama. The acting isn't bad, but it's not good either. Not very impressive, even laughably silly at times.

DannyV.Jan 28, 20090Terrible script, awful acting, subpar directing. This movie is crap in every conceivable way. To all the people giving this trash 10s, how much did your pastor pay you brainwashed losers?

JimLNov 13, 20089Just to be clear; This movie is GOOD. The bad reviews are from ideologues who want this movie to fail simply because of the message. But when the studios see you support high class stuff like this it only gives reason to see what you you and give you more high class stuff instead of settling for the normal hollywood junk. Demand more qualit like this with your message movies.

MichaelZ.Oct 12, 20089Everyone in the theater I was at applauded at the end. A good movie with excellent message. More people need to do more to make their marriages fireproof.

-
NeilNov 20, 20081Silly and amateur production values. Will only appeal to people who spend all their time in church and won't attend movies.
-
-
K.JonesNov 26, 200810this movie is a great example that a quality story can be as entertaining as a better produced($$) movie.

JulieB.Oct 20, 200810Fireproof is a movie that provides hope. Besides having a good storyline - it gives - resources, guidance, and you leave the theatre with a different mindset than when you came in. It's entertaining and so much more. Don't listen to the critics on this one

DenB.Oct 3, 20088Excellent subject matter wide appeal in moral circles, stay's away from touching issues regarding same sex relationships acting as would be expected by cast makeup well done overall from a church ! Hollyood may need to take cue

MikeB.Jan 9, 200910OK, Kirk Cameron is not everybody's favorite actor. If you are turned off by simplistic displays of Christianity, this isn't the move for you. But my wife and I cried like we haven't in years. This is the kind of movie I'd like to see more of!

NealEFeb 19, 200910This was an excellent movie and far exceeded my expectations. From what I see from the reviews, you either love it or you hate it. I loved it. A profound simplicity that anyone married or unmarried can be challenged by. The movie did well in mingling humor and serious scenes. I willl take movies like this any day over the shallow and superficial creations that Hollywood is prone to churn out.

LindaMar 14, 20098The content of this movie is well worth the watch...and on several levels. If all you care about is high action with today's very best movie making...then you will be disappointed. However, if you like a good movie, with heart and good old-time story telling... you will not be disappointed. Anybody can enjoy this movie. If a Christian, it will make your heart sing.

TFMar 10, 200910Nice enough drama with a good message. Production wasn't the greatest but the budget was probably a few hundred thousand (if that).

BillySOct 29, 20081Just to be clear; This movie is BAD. The good reviews are from ideologues who want this movie to succeed simply because of the message. But when the studios see you support second rate junk like this it only gives them an excuse to look down on you and give you more second rate junk instead of putting in some effort for a change. Demand some QUALITY with your message movies.

ElviaG.Oct 3, 200810This movie is real and it identifies with the struggle of marriages in the present time. In my own experience, if didn't have jesus im my life, i wouldn't have survived the trials in my life.

MichelleB.Oct 4, 200810This movie was very inspiring and uplifting. I thought Kirk Cameron did an awesome job dealing with the issues that most married couples go through. I would highly recommend this movie to all married couples or single dating couples that are thinking of getting married.

TimM.Sep 27, 20089Excellent show, deals with issues that most couples face, and have forgot why they fell in love at first. I recommend it to all couples no matter what their age.

JustinW.Sep 29, 200810An excellent movie all the way around--script, cast, production. One of the best films we've ever viewed on true love and what it means to fight for your family. Go see this film.

VirginiaE.Jan 28, 200910Great Movie. Me and my husband are in our early thirties and thought this movie was amazing. Gives great advise on how to make a marriage really work. Put God first!!! It will make any marriage work.

-
-
rosebFeb 16, 20099I'm glad I finally got to see it. It's a great movie if you are willing to learn how to work at having a better marriage. I cried all through the end until my eyes hurt. I was prepared for the Christian message, and I pray that more people will open their hearts while watching it.

JonathanH.Feb 4, 20090This film makes "In the Name of the King" look Oscar worthy. The only reason that it has any positive reviews at all is because it is religious, which, in my opinion, makes it worse.

-
KristenAMar 18, 20090This movie hate women. It's childish and over the top bad acting. Overly religious. AWFUL!

BruceT.Sep 26, 20089Great message, very good story with superb acting. Excellent for the entire family and a must for anyone dating or married...or soon to be either!
-
-
MiriamR.Sep 27, 20088Excellent story that relates to many of today's marriages and what is missing in their relationship is love....the source of love is from God himself that enable man and woman to love each other unconditional. Sure they had a low budget and that explains some of the editing and lack of good shots, but Kirk and the woman who played the wife did an excellent job in their roles.

-
GeorgeN.Jan 26, 20090If I want to listen to sermon I'll go to church. Thanks a lot Kirk!

KeithH.Jan 31, 20091I am searching for Christianity that is intelligent and thought-provoking and this film fell way short of those qualities. Maybe someday the "message" will be presented in the arts so that us with college educations can be inspired.

Oct 3, 20118Goodness, this world has really changed. The movie is about sanctity of marriage. Something we have seemed to lose in this democratic society we are living in. Anyway this is a good movie, go buy it.

50Cameron is genuinely compelling as Caleb.
-
0Cameron acts like a childish jerk, even in the reconciliation phase, and the underlying reason is that he--and the movie--hates women.
-
The filmmakers hedge their bets by making the young marrieds agnostic at the start of the movie, in order to turn Fireproof into a manual for eternal as well as marital salvation.
